Hi i was driving my zed on monday,i had to pop to see family,i stopped out side got out of my zed locked it visited family for say an hour got back in my zed and it would not fire up!...it turned over but would not fire.....i repeatedly tryed to start it over and over when it started but ran very rough and idled at approx 1800 rpm and would not drop....i drove home and it was hessitant and and seemed to be a lot of dead spots through out the revs expecially when i tried to accelorate....zed was just powerless...

like you were running out of fuel but there was quarter of a tank...

i got it home and gave her a few revs and noticed heavy black smoke pouring out of the exhaust?like a diesel?i turned it off and left it till morning....today started perfect and drove perfect until after about 30 mins then she started to act strange again and then it was fine after that...Anyone any idea's as i am quite stunned, there seams to be nothing at all visually under the bonnet...levels are fine and all pipes and electrical conections are fine? Any idea's ,Any one had similar?

Ah........that'll be your problem then.......you haven't got an engine!

Sorry...when you say about the black smoke pouring out; was that as you revved it or also on tickover? Was it backfiring at all? And the gauges all behaving normal?
