What chip to go for?? and who supplies them ? Cost ish? 91TT Jap (Auto) Realize Exhaust HKS Induction Iridium Plugs Hybrid Turbos. I am running 1.0 Bar with slight detonation at top end have been advised to "chip" from this forum. Want a chip now money waiting!!!!! Are they difficult to fit?? Regardz

Hi, The air con on my Uk TT seems a bit warm even set at it's lowest temperature. I believe the gas may need recharging but am not certain. Anyone had this problem or have any thoughts?? If it does need recharging does anyone know what gas it takes as I have been told that there are 2 types and the older one is now illegal to keep. If its the older type I am aparently gonna struggle. The car is a 1990 z32 auto TT. Any help you can offer would be great. Cheers Zedhot

the car went into safety boost the other day but filling up with a higher RON fuel has fixed that within literally seconds of driving it on that fuel. i stopped driving a few minutes after filling up with the different fuel (after a pretty hard 10 mins or so). BUT the idle was all over the place, falling to about 500 and nearly stalling all together!! plus there is a nasty rattling sound coming from one side of the engine bay underneath and under the car i think. it sounds like the exhaust rattling but much worse. as you rev the engine the rattling gets worse. could any one help, as ive only had the car just over a week and th…

OK - it always did it a little bit due to road camber - but I had all the wheels off over the weekend and now the car seems to pull a bit more than usual - thought it might be a sticky caliper and so have put some replacements on that are OK and this hasnt helped a lot - could the wear on the tyres be causing it and is it worth swapping them over to see if that causes it - it was only after I had them off the car I noticed it happen... Any ideas appreciated.

IVE HAD A TRAWL IN THE ARCHIVES BUT CAR'NT SEEM TO FIND OUT WHAT I NEED. (maybe im just tired and carn't be bothered to turn the caps lock off). could any one tell me what oil is the best to put in the rear diff, and what oil is best to put in the auto transmission on a 92 TT (eg grades and names etc.) thank you all. jim:o

JUST THOUGHT ID LET EVERY ONE KNOW... BOUGHT MY ZED TT ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO FROM JAPAN WITH 38,000 MILES ON IT, FIRST JOB WAS OIL CHANGE, CASTROL 0w/40 RS. THE DAY AFTER NOTICED MY OIL PRESSURE WAS DROPING OFF AND AT IDLE VERY LOW, I PUT IT DOWN TO DODGY OIL SENDER AND THAT WAS THAT. READING A COUPLE OF LINKS ON TUESDAY I NOTICED THAT ALOT OF YOU USE CASTROL RS 10/60, SO I ORDERED SOME, PUT IT TODAY AND 200 MILES LATER......... MY OIL PRESSURE GAUGE IS ROCK STEADY AND WORKING EXACTLY HOW ITS SUPPOSE TO, THE CAR ALSO FEELS ALOT STRONGER WHEN PULLING. JUST THOUGHT I'D SHARE THAT ONE WITH YOU ALL, ANY COMMENTS MOST WELCOME....... JIM.:)

ohhh s**t!!!!!!!!! ive had the car for just over a week now, and in the last couple of days its gone into safety boost. so i did the ecu diagnostic and got the feared code 34. the cars a jap spec tho and i havent run it on optimax, which ive heard is the closest RON to jap fuel so hopefully its something to do with that? the car also hasent been run regularly for about 6 months before i got her so could the connections have become corroded. trouble is i cant find the connection where it sais it should be in the links ive found! does anyone know where the connection should be on a G reg jap TT?

I have a number of probs with the Z atm. This is currently top of my list. Had very bad vibration from under car: CSB replaced - vibration less. Gearbox mount replaced - vibration almost gone. but, when i accelerate quickly or need alot of rpms at low speed such as pulling away on steep incline the vibration is back. I glimpsed something somewhere about propshaft balancing - could this cause the vibration - that garage never mentioned anything about balancing it after the work?? I live in Richmond, if this could be the problem is this something a local garage can do easily or do i need somewhere more specialist? have not been able to fin…

Hope someone can help me... my (non-turbo) 300zx is currently in a garage trying to get its clutch bled, however, the mechanics seem to be failing miserably. They have replaced the master-clutch cylinder and are attempting to the bleed the clutch using an "Easy Bleed, Pressure Bleeder" So far they have failed. I am not a techy on engines/clutches etc so could any response be in laymans terms please :D cheers js

for those who do not know a couple of months back a woman clipped my rear quater caused a scratch about a foot long, with a tiny pin dent near wheel arch. her fault 100%. insurance accessor came and had a look at it and told me to take it to their approved body shop. left it there a few weeks went back to look at the repair. talk about a patchwork quilt LOL. they could not match in colour mine being Pearl Yellow. three weeks later the car looks like new again a complete Respray £2500 worth. that is one of the Biggest freebies any one has ever given me. what cracks me up is that i had it all budgeted for a total respray this year. i now have 2k to spend on more goodi…

Hi ! Do you know what this is??? There's a noise coming from the o/s of the engine bay, around where the boost pressure sensor and brake booster is. It's a kind of air leaking or motor warnout noise... There appears to be no pipes loose, the first thing that sprung to mind was the re-circulation control etc, but as I get the honk I don't think it's that. It only appears to do it on idle or neg boost, I think It's always been there, but now you can hear it in the car with the door closed. Hi everyone pls help me with this small problem! I bought a Kenwood Z919 and tried installing it in my 94' 300ZX TT but I noticed the bose speakers have an amp each so does anyone know how I can install my headunit? it has an 4x45w amp on it. Thank You in advance.

Are the front discs and pads the same for a N/A and TT.....I've just ordered a pair of Brembo discs off ebay that said fits both, but i want to be sure.

I have an Norm Aspirated 300zx. I want to get a duel dial pod frm the zed center. What dials can i put in it to make it look cool. I have all indiglo dash at the moment and i wouldnt mind the dials to match if poss. I was thinking maybe a voltmeter or something but im not sure - help would be appreciated. Also, does anything ever go on in the south west?? I would mind seeing a few other zed owners and getting into the scene a bit more! Cheers

Hi guys/girls, Ive just brought a non turbo 300zx manual on a j plate - its a jap import!! Basically i need to know where the washer jets on the bonnet connect to!! The pipe connects the two jets but then it just ends - does it connect to the washer bottle? is so where abouts as i cant see alot in the engine bay!! Also i was out for a spin the other day, when i stopped the car was dripping cold antifreeze from about 6inches infront of the passenger compartment! About level with the NSF wheel. I check the coolant level in the rad and it was absolutely full to the max. I filled the water bottle on the front right of the engine bay, and after a few secs it all pee…

Tomorrow, (6/5/03) I get to finally take delivery of my Fairlady import 300ZX n/a! It's gonna be a shock...... I've been driving a Range Rover for the last three years! So - help please! Do I have to feed her the higher octane (97?) unleaded that you sometimes see? Where can I get a handbook? What are the service intervals? Do the targa panels just sit in the boot when removed? What's the best oil to use? tyre pressures? Is there a good book on the car I can buy? I'm a sponge - soak me with info!!!!! :)

I've noticed that a slow speeds or whilst slowy moving within traffic, the brakes make a noise similar to a large spring expanding or retracting and now its starting to bug me. The brakes seem to work normally and at first I thought it was the pedal but on closer inspection it sounds as if its the caliper. Has anyone had similar experience. I'm hoping its just ageeee. :confused:

Going down the East Lancs (National Speedlimit dual carrage way for the people who doing know. ;)) I see this red Z with a West Wing kit on and round rear light conversion. I pull up behind him and he boots it and so did I. Revs climbing to 7000rpm and I slam it into 3rd with a little screetch of my tyres which where only 20 miles old and needed scrubbing in. Speed climbing to, errrrrrrr I wont tell you that ;) No matter what he tried the Red Z was not getting away from me.
