I guess all imports have the same problem. The horn sounds like it should be on a milk float! Any ideas where to get one that sounds like it belongs in a Z?

I'm converting to a manual anyway but while my auto box is out and I have lots of time to do it, is it possible to repair myself? It started slipping in third, then in second on full throttle. It got worse until there was no drive in third - it just revved. Changes all occured as normal though. ATF was very black and smelled burnt. Lasted 18 months with 400ish BHP but eventually said NOOOO! :D Is this just the clutches/brake bands whatever they are and are they "easy" to change?

HI ALL i give up with frustration with the wiring for these fog lights cos mines an import i have to fit one for mot. tried the rear brake lights as fogs using a relay switch but both banks of brake lights came on , i had a bit of success in getting them to come on and off that is as fog lights on both sides of car but you can,t pass mot with fog lights on both sides of car plus the one on the spoiler lit . any body got a photo of a foglight fitted to a z which looks ok to give me an idea where to fit it or a photo of a reverse lamp converted to a foglight or any other options i could try cheers cully z:)

10 Hi! I ran ECU diagnostic on my 300ZX TT and got code 21. Does this mean that the Power Transistor Unit is destroyed? How could I be 100% sure about this? May I use a voltmeter...what values should there be..? Some tip where I should buy the PTU? Thanks10 11

My brake pedal has been squeaking for ages now, but i haven't been arsed to lube it. Now i've noticed that when i press the clutch pedal its rubbing..not quite a squeak but almost like the sound of a small dump valve everytime i press the pedal. I've had a look to see if anything is rubbing but can't see nothing. Is there any particular joint that needs lubricating or is it a case of saturating the entire lot in grease?????

Re-posted in here as I am stupid and over tired!! ;) Am getting brave! I dusted an Evo VI on the way to the Bubble Inn, I was on the M42, I zipped past him, he saw me, sped up and then I floored it. He was still giving it some and I was easing away, upto about 125mph and then slowed as someone had let a police car park on the private strip we were using........ He then turned off to Measham and gave me the thumbs up as he left! :D 2 RK in 1 week, okay so one was a Civic Type-R but still, they all count! Matty.

Hi, I am hoping someone can offer me some advice... My Z will usually start right up in the morning. I get about half way out of my driveway and it dies, then it will not start again all day. It cranks, and smells strongly of gasoline, but it won't start. I can usually start it again if I wait 24 hours, but it won't get far. Any suggestions of common things I can look at? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! -Melissa

I need help. Can anybody help supply a Oil Filter Bracket (Part # 15238)? See attached schematic. My import 2+0 TT Manual does not have an Engine Oil Cooler as standard. The UK spec and other import versions do. The bracket/housing for the Oil Filter, on my car, does not have the inlet and outlet for the feeds to an Engine Oil Cooler Rad, and so I am after one (from a broken engine perhaps). I have tried various solutions with ThinkAuto, but none work out as safely and cleanly as the Nissan solution. I also have a query out to Courtesy (the Nissan UK price is silly). Please help if you can. Thanks, Geoff

My reverse lamp packed up several weeks ago, yesterday I decided to get off my lazy backside and put a new bulb in. Unfortunately, it still doesn't work  I have given the wiring a quick check (quad tail lamp conversion) and all seems fine. This just leaves me wondering if either the reverse switch has 'left the building' or maybe a fuse has gone? Does anyone know if there is a fuse for the reverse lamp? I've checked the main engine bay fuse box and the drivers kick panel pic as requested by Warren and there appears to be no sign of one  Cheerz, Dave

Hey. I have a 1992 300zx 2+2. I plan on getting twin turbos for it, but I have no clue how much it will cost, and what I will need. So basically, I have no idea of what I am doing but I plan on doing it. So if you could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it. I also just bought an air intake kit, and I don't know how many filters I need. 2 or 1? Thanks

To fetch the old chestnut subject of breather kit up. Seen as I have the turbo techniks breather kit and has been on for a year. I noticed that when i remove the oil filler cap off on idle there is a vacuum quite a lot actually. So is this normal with this mod as most cars I know give some back pressure not sucked out by the vacuun lines to the breather kit, which i would thought could lean the mixture too much. Anybody make any sense of it. Richard ps pcv valves were ok as well last time i checked.

Removed the bolt through the middle of power steering pump and 3 smaller bolts to the right but its still not budging. Theres a bolt on the top left behind the pulley that I cant shift. Does it need to come off and if so is it OK to take the pulley wheel off, it seems stuck on tight. I've got 3 of the 4 bolts out of the Aircon compressor but just can't get to the top rear one. Tried a crows foot socket as recommended but even that won't fit :( Any ideas?

How do you get the boots off the front steering/track rods? Mine have both split and need replacing.
