After paying a visit to Zedworld to get an erratic idle sorted (dodgy connection, very green!!) I noticed a slight leak on the rad, right below the bleed valve, it's not a 'big' leak only a small hiss of a leak at high temp but I want to get it sorted ASAP. Where can I get a rad from? (recomendations please) Can I get an upgrade rad without plastic sides as they are not the best and are the weak point IMO!!? How much? (ball park figure will do, ta!) Thanks in advance, Matty.

my brakes have been getting a bit crap lately (as many people complain about on zeds), pads all looked reasonable still so decided to strip & clean. 4 out of the 8 pistons on the front calipers had siezed  . no wonder they were so crap!! pushed them back & pumped them out a few times to free them off. I now have working brakes again!! :) next pad change i think i'll get a caliper rebuild kit & do the job properly. bet theres a few out there that need doing!!

I am going to buy a new PTU that replaces the factory-installed PTU. I have seen some pictures of this one and it seems to be four connectors at the wiring harness...where should all these connectors be placed...I know two of them should be placed on the PTU, but what about the two others...?? (Maybe one of them is placed on the CAS?) Thanks EgilTT

Howdi My 300 is on it's way from tokyo, due to arrive 6th July. First time I've imported. I know it'll need a foglight for mot, but any suggestions as to what else will need changing due to it being an import? Also, the car wont have been ran for atleast 5-6weeks, any special precautions i need to take as i know from experience 300s can be a little bit troublesome at times lol (owned one before)? btw it's a 91 TT, 50k, manual, leather. Supposedly in "good condition". :)

For years now everyone has (quite rightly) criticised the illumination (lack of). Anyone ever thought about changing lights & surrounding bodywork by removing OEMs and setting up say 'pop up lights' from an MR2, MX7 or something like that???? Just wondered what the front would look like???? Didn't know whether it was possible or if there would be enough room....

hey i want to put a uprated ecu in my 92 tt. What is the best ecu, given that i don't fancy soldering my own chip in? The only thing is i use the car every day and so can't send the ecu to anyone for any length of time. Would be best if i could get a complete unit that i can just swap over one night, or am i just delusional that things could be that easy?

HI, After having my ZX for 2 days now, Im looking to improve the sound system. The previous owner had cut away part of the twin unit console to make room for a big Panasonic VX999MD radio, cd/md player. Its one of those about 5" high chrome jobs, sounds great, but would look better in a 1955 Caddillac than in a all black ZX dash. There is not even a trim to go around it, I guess because the front swings up and out to access the Mini Disk. Anyway, I guess I can live with that (for the time being) but I want to add a subwoofer/amplifier, like one of those "tube" jobs. Whats the best way to wire it up? One I looked at only has 2 wires to got to the rear speakers and …

hi i was driving back from work in my car, its only about 8 miles to my house. anyway, just as i pulled up towards my front door i noticed steam coming from under the bonnet and my temp gauge was off the clock. i went inside and had dinner. about 45 minutes latter i checked the water, which was low. and so i decided to top it up. after some hissing and bubbling i stopped. i had only put in about 3litres of water and it still wasnt full!!!!!!. Anyway, after this i thought id start the car and park it properly at this point something strange happened....... the car had major problem reving, almost like if the battrey was going to die, it seemed like if it was choking b…

It appears as though a previous owner of my zx has had some sort of tv/ice install going on in the car. I can see loads of wires going under the rear seats and i wondered how do i get the seats out, or just lift them - so i can see wha is under there! I also wanted to see if the rear belts had been tucked away under them - not that they are any use!!!

If I set the temperature of the climate control on my 1990 UK TT to anything less than ambient you get a strange loud knocking sound. Sort of 4-5 knocks then 10 seconds silence, repeating. The knocks are coming from inside the dashboard in the vicinity of the windscreen demister Aircon seems to work OK. I certainly get hot/cold air through the vents as appropriate to the temperature setting Any ideas? Sounds like a dashboard off job. Is this a DIY job and if so are there any instructions on how to do it. How long should it take. Might sound tight but she's now at an age where any major costs mean a trip to the scrapyard. Sob :(

Well boys and girls, after nearly 2 years of Z ownership, by baby let me down and it was all due to me putting off some regular maintenance that I should have asked Jeff to do before Xmas. Anyway, to cut a long story short, the fan belt snapped, the dash lit up like a xmas tree and before I knew it, the temp was going through the roof. Managed to pull over within 5 seconds of noticing the high temp so I hope nothing else is broken or bent. Funny thing is, just before I pulled over, I spotted something fly out behind me but thought nothing of it. Opened the bonnet and it wasn't till I mentioned to Jeff over the phone that there were funny strands everywhere that …

hi just bought a Raid snap off steering wheeel adaptor for my momo steering wheel. the blasted thing did not fit properly ie. the snap off adaptor is idealy supossed to lie behind the spokes of the steering wheel but in my case they were at a slight angle so from "head on" (infront off the wheel) you could see the arms of the adapter. the problem has obviously got to do with the screws on the steering wheel and how they line up with the adapter!! anybody got any suggestions. i have returned the adapter and am hoping the forum will come to my rescue. anyway, what do poeple think off the snap off steering wheels. are they a good think? help needed. rav
