I was driving last night every thing was going fine, i must have driven 10 miles or so and felt a slight hesitation in the engine and then the power light came on for a few seconds. Any ideas why?

I`ve met a couple of folk after Zeds and have heard the words "a bit long in the tooth" more than once. To all of you out there thinking about Zed ownership, just take a look at parkers online. I`ve just spent about an hour trawling through the latest generation of Ford, Vauxhall, Audi, BMW, Subaru, etc...etc..etc...wannabes and have realised that the Zed is about as outdated and obsolete as a fusion reactor! All of the fastest cars in these manuacturers ranges make the Zed look reasonably frugal in terms of fuel consumption. The performance figures by even comparison just cannot live with a stock Zed TT and servicing costs are highly competitive for the 300zx c…

Most places I've asked have never heard of it? What type/spec do I need?

i have bought a universal dual piller pod for my gauges and it does not fit too good does any one have a link where i can buy one that actually is designed for a 300z

Hi, Apologies if my question is answered in another post, I searched the archives but did not find an answer. Im currently looking to get a 300zx TT, I've not decided between UK or Jap spec yet. The question I have is, wether all 300zx TT's come with the Automatic/switchable suspension. Where you can switch it from Sports to Touring mode, with a button on the dashboard ? Thanks, David

HI all i,m a total novice on all these mods for the engine and up grades so say for instance i wanted to upgrade my engine meaning putting a different chip in to increase the bhp .. has mine which is a n/a auto 91 import even got a chip i don,t know if it has or not , being a bog standard z32 so would there b much increase in power just by fitting a different chip anyone out there who could enlighten me cully z:confused: :confused:

hi all how you all doing my zed has been of the road last week due to a hole in the rad it is geting fixed tormorrow just a smal problem i need some advice on whether to decat the beast or not the car is going to se in two weeks for a boost upgrade you here people saying that it gives more power but it will knacker the turbos i would love more power you can never have too much but i can not afford of having the cost of replacing the turbos if they go ban can any one give me some advice on this subject cheers matt

As of last night, I'm running a switched 27C512 in my ECU. It's currently programmed with standard UK and one of SE's. You simply select by flicking a switch. How it's done (quoted from a recent email)... " The EPROM mod is very, VERY simple. Basically you're pulling pin-1 high or low with a switch to select page-1 or page-0. You'll need a 3-pin toggle switch. It's just for safety that I bent out the address pin (pin-1) because I don't know what effect it would have on the ECU if connected. And besides, you could damage your EPROM programmer if it's not bent out. So... pin-1 of the EPROM you then wire to the common pin on the switch, pin-28 wires to one of the s…

Hey, My passenger side folding wingmirror is taking longer and longer to fold in - the drivers side one beats it every time ;) How easy is it to pull the motor out and replace if needed? I presume it is somewhere around the wingmirror itself? Thanks folks :) Pete

Hi all I only had my Z a few weeks now and i have just started noticed a gurgle/glugging of fluid coming from around the drivers side wheel. I drained a small amount of water and drilled a hole in the AIV pipe thinking it would solve the problem. The noise is still their at idle but may not be as loud, i am not sure. It sounds like liquid moving could it be coolant or oil? it only seems to occur once the engine has warmed up. Any ideas??

I'm looking to fit new hosing to my 1991 TT auto where can you get the full kit in blue or other fancy colours. Also the induction piping, maybe including stainless sections. Any ideas? look at the pic on aaronjbfor clues to what i mean or can aaronjb get back to me?

anyone know anywhere thats good for shocks and spings? bearing in mind i'm not after ones for my zed but for my lowly renault clio 1.2.. i cant believe the prices ive been given by halfords.. any recommendations?

Dont laugh but i did my usual trick again ......... brought with my heart instead of my head. Just gettin a 300zx tt jap import... it appears to be tuned to the nuts... scared me shitless on the test drive. All appears to be running well..at the moment(had the sense to insist on a years labour and parts warranty) My problem is that ive never run one of these b4 and couldnt even begin to guess what mods have been made. Need someone who is local to me (Peterborough) who will be able to tell me what has and hasnt been done to it too at least give me a starting point tob work from. Any body recommend someone???

Evening all :) I've spotted a small coolant leak on my Zed, the reason the rad needs a top-up most mornings. Can anyone tell me what part it is from the attached picture? It's dripping from the end, where the hose meets the bulkhead. The hose is wrapped in silver shiny foily stuff and is about 3/4 to an inch wide. Thanks for any help :) Pete

So it seems that my beautiful Volk Racing Forged Alloys are for the scrap heap after speaking to every wheel refurbishment outfit I can find (including Pristine, Ace Alloys, Pemberton Tyres.......) I was delighted to hear that the replacement Rays wheels are about £1200 a piece (plus tyres!), so I need to find a cheaper alternative. I know there are many of you who know good cheap places for new alloys - all tips greatly received, but I'd love to hear from anyone who has 4 tasty wheels for sale. My strong preference would be for 17", but all serious replies considered. Many thanks.

Hi all. Has anyone seen or had a headlamp conversion done on thier 300? I saw a one at the weekend that had just two round lenses. One for the main beam and one for the indicator. I didn't get a chance to speak to the owner to find out where he had it done. Just wondering if anyone knows who's offering this kit? Cheers m8's

I was just wondering if my car has been chipped, as ive just blown off a GTO Twin Turbo, and mine is non-turbo!!! Is there an easy way to check? Ive had some mods done, lightened flywheel, cut box etc but was just enquiring! Thanks for any help guys

i have a 300zx tt auto. i have been a naughty boy and reving the car in neutral before putting it into drive so as to do wheel spins. just wanted to know if this is good or bad before i do any permanent damage mto the gear box!!!!!!!!! rav

Has anyone done this themselves, both sides? Mine need doing and I'm about to order them both. Any tips on fitting them, I've heard the old 'uns are difficult to remove? Gonna also do the PCV valves and hoses too - what sort of job is that. I found the write-ups the other day but they always make it sound easier ;) Cheers for the help :) Pete

Folks - Anyone got any good ideas for unblocking the windscreen washers? Mine have slowly clogged up. I made sure the pump was working (the pipes all the way up to the washers themselves are definitely clear - as demonstrated by squirting water over my crotch!), then went about it myself with limited success. Basically I started with the trusty safety-pin down the nozzles trick. Seemed pretty clear straight away but didn't help with the squirting. Then I got a football pump to the underside of the nozzles and did a few good blasts through it - definitely felt blocked and I found there was blue powder (washer fluid I guess), coming out of the nozzles. Trying to get these things out of my old Zed...have undone all the screws in existence but they seem to be wedged in tightly still. Is it just the bonding that's holding them and can that be heated to free them up or am I missing a FO bolt gripping them to the car? :D

My TT auto is stock apart from the Zorst and I got a 14.6 1/4 mile at santapod this weekend. It was bloody hot. Is this a good or bad time??????

I`m just about to pop up to Luke to get this damn ugly cracked rubber thing taken off the rear tailgate. If you had a choice, what would you have, a supra style high/low level spoiler or the fibregalss replica of the original Zed spoiler. I cannot make my mind up....what do you think?

I have a blown fuse but where is the fuse box????? Found the one under the bonnet but where does the other one hide????
