Hi,

Apologies if my question is answered in another post, I searched the archives but did not find an answer.

Im currently looking to get a 300zx TT, I've not decided between UK or Jap spec yet. The question I have is, wether all 300zx TT's come with the Automatic/switchable suspension. Where you can switch it from Sports to Touring mode, with a button on the dashboard ?

Thanks,

David

hi legrath,

my uk 300 has the electrically adjustable shocks, but only in the rear. as far as i know all the uks were fitted with these.i have a jap 300 and it hasnt got the adj. shocks and has a bit of body roll as a result. the shocks harden when the handbrake is pulled up to the first notch, just make sure the handbrake hasnt been overadjusted to cause the brakes to bind while you are driving. there is a very noticeable difference! the proper job is to wire in a switch for independant control.

shouldnt do unless the shocks are knackered, the jap shocks are the same as the adjustable ones on the hard setting!!

On the UK the rears are automatically adjusted so they get harder the faster you go. There is also a switch on the hand brake, so when you click it up 1 click it sets the suspention on the rear goes harder.

I dont think this works on the JAP Z though, but I may be wrong.
