Raz
Sorry about that title... I can't believe I just wrote that... :D Ever since I've had the car, the gear lever shaft has always been a bit wobbly. Gear selection itself is fine, but whether its in neutral or in any of the gears the shaft always has an inch or two of lateral movement (there's no front-to-back movement). Anyone got any ideas for sorting this out? I'm guessing its worn bushes, but are there any springs in there that might have worn out? Also, what's the best way to access the area? Looking at the service manual, it looks like the bushes are buried about a foot below the actual lever! :) Thanks
DaveW
ROFLMAO :D Nice one Raz! It sounds like the shifter bushings, these can be accessed from inside the car. There is a tech article on TT.net covering the replacement of these. Cheerz Dave
vijay
Hello Raz, Yeah, that'll be the bushes and it's really easy to change them, just a bit time consuming cos you have to start removing trim. Here's a write up - http://www.ttzd.com/tech/bushingstech.html Vijay

Might be a good opportunity to replace my knob too, its looking a bit a worn after years of overuse (sorry :o ). Anyone know of any Nismo suppliers in the UK?
