To fetch the old chestnut subject of breather kit up. Seen as I have the turbo techniks breather kit and has been on for a year. I noticed that when i remove the oil filler cap off on idle there is a vacuum quite a lot actually. So is this normal with this mod as most cars I know give some back pressure not sucked out by the vacuun lines to the breather kit, which i would thought could lean the mixture too much. Anybody make any sense of it. Richard ps pcv valves were ok as well last time i checked.

Removed the bolt through the middle of power steering pump and 3 smaller bolts to the right but its still not budging. Theres a bolt on the top left behind the pulley that I cant shift. Does it need to come off and if so is it OK to take the pulley wheel off, it seems stuck on tight. I've got 3 of the 4 bolts out of the Aircon compressor but just can't get to the top rear one. Tried a crows foot socket as recommended but even that won't fit :( Any ideas?

How do you get the boots off the front steering/track rods? Mine have both split and need replacing.

I'm removing thhe front propshaft section to get the auto box out but can't seem to get the 2 halves apart :( Am I doing it right? I've taken the centre support bearing off and got the 4 bolts out holding the sections together but they dont seem to want to separate. Is there something i've missed or is it just siezed together?

Does anyone know if Champion do an equivalent plug to the NGK PFR6B-11 (platinum) suitable for a 300 N/T LOCKY

Started the new spoiler today, found a load of dirt and gunk under there. And the water runs out of it like a sponge when you bend it .

Is it ok to have play in the power steering pump pulley ( i think its the steering pump, its the one at the top on drivers side). Its only small amount of wobble , about 1mm but im worried it may damage a seal and pee out fluid . Anyone have same prob, or know if its ok like this? Thanks , Trev.

iv got a 92 tt auto z. its done this a couple of times but not as bad as 2day.hear goes when i pull away it feels like the clutch is slipping virtually no drive attall all revs no action but if i switch the car off 4 a couple of seconds then turn it back on it seems ok. until half an hour later then it does it again. help much apprietiated:confused: :confused:

I need a service, but I've noticed a lot of u use 10/60 castrol. Ive been using mobil 1 0/40 fully syn for 3 years, but the car does make a ticking noise when first started up, but goes away once warm. which is better and where can you buy the 10/60 castrol from?

What spec did you go for? How much and where did you get it done????

Dear All, I've got a bit of a puffing billy right Zorst when I apress the gas pedal. It does not look like a Steam Train but it is enough to be noticed in the rear view. The smoke is white btw, not blue.... A little help ?? Ta, Phil

I need to repaint my rear bumper but am unshore on how to remove the old paint. Should I rub it off or can I use a stripper on it? Anyone done any work on the rubber panels who can help?

Just got my n/s/f wheel bearing replaced and the ABSlight refuses to clear any pointers in this matter! spoke to my machanic said all bleed ok no air in lines etc cheers Dave

Hi, The air con on my Uk TT seems a bit warm even set at it's lowest temperature. I believe the gas may need recharging but am not certain. Anyone had this problem or have any thoughts?? If it does need recharging does anyone know what gas it takes as I have been told that there are 2 types and the older one is now illegal to keep. If its the older type I am aparently gonna struggle. The car is a 1990 z32 auto TT. Any help you can offer would be great. Cheers Zedhot

the car went into safety boost the other day but filling up with a higher RON fuel has fixed that within literally seconds of driving it on that fuel. i stopped driving a few minutes after filling up with the different fuel (after a pretty hard 10 mins or so). BUT the idle was all over the place, falling to about 500 and nearly stalling all together!! plus there is a nasty rattling sound coming from one side of the engine bay underneath and under the car i think. it sounds like the exhaust rattling but much worse. as you rev the engine the rattling gets worse. could any one help, as ive only had the car just over a week and th…

OK - it always did it a little bit due to road camber - but I had all the wheels off over the weekend and now the car seems to pull a bit more than usual - thought it might be a sticky caliper and so have put some replacements on that are OK and this hasnt helped a lot - could the wear on the tyres be causing it and is it worth swapping them over to see if that causes it - it was only after I had them off the car I noticed it happen... Any ideas appreciated.

JUST THOUGHT ID LET EVERY ONE KNOW... BOUGHT MY ZED TT ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO FROM JAPAN WITH 38,000 MILES ON IT, FIRST JOB WAS OIL CHANGE, CASTROL 0w/40 RS. THE DAY AFTER NOTICED MY OIL PRESSURE WAS DROPING OFF AND AT IDLE VERY LOW, I PUT IT DOWN TO DODGY OIL SENDER AND THAT WAS THAT. READING A COUPLE OF LINKS ON TUESDAY I NOTICED THAT ALOT OF YOU USE CASTROL RS 10/60, SO I ORDERED SOME, PUT IT TODAY AND 200 MILES LATER......... MY OIL PRESSURE GAUGE IS ROCK STEADY AND WORKING EXACTLY HOW ITS SUPPOSE TO, THE CAR ALSO FEELS ALOT STRONGER WHEN PULLING. ohhh s**t!!!!!!!!! ive had the car for just over a week now, and in the last couple of days its gone into safety boost. so i did the ecu diagnostic and got the feared code 34. the cars a jap spec tho and i havent run it on optimax, which ive heard is the closest RON to jap fuel so hopefully its something to do with that? the car also hasent been run regularly for about 6 months before i got her so could the connections have become corroded. trouble is i cant find the connection where it sais it should be in the links ive found! does anyone know where the connection should be on a G reg jap TT?

I have a number of probs with the Z atm. This is currently top of my list. Had very bad vibration from under car: CSB replaced - vibration less. Gearbox mount replaced - vibration almost gone. but, when i accelerate quickly or need alot of rpms at low speed such as pulling away on steep incline the vibration is back. I glimpsed something somewhere about propshaft balancing - could this cause the vibration - that garage never mentioned anything about balancing it after the work?? I live in Richmond, if this could be the problem is this something a local garage can do easily or do i need somewhere more specialist? have not been able to fin…
