I need a Clutch Servo for my TT Jap. I think the diaphram is split (lots of air escaping). Anyone know where i can get one (cheap!!). Anyone replaced it? Is it a Dash off? Dan

When the engine is cold makes this 'squealing' noise?. Is it the water pump on its last legs or something else. When its warm its fine. Any ideas?. T

Hi folks What size wiper blades do you have on the Zed? I measured the old ones at 21" and bought new ones that size, now the blades catch on one another from rest. I realise the utte stupidity of this question but what size wiper blades do you have? ps. keep the idiot insults to a minumum if you can, I`m feeling sensitive right now..:D

Hi, I saw the thread about the Version S and i have been meaning to ask what the badge on the back of my jap import NA is, i think it says something like Tommy Maiken (from memory, its hard to tell because it is in silver & in joined up writing i.e. a signature). Is this some sort of different version, perhaps a limited edition? Or has some plonker stuck it on at some point for some reason?? Any ideas, I could take a photo of it, if that helps... Hi All I am new to all this and have just purchased a 300ZX NA, all seems fine apart from having noisy front brakes to over come it i am going to change the pads. Are the Turbo and NA Brake pads the same???? I phoned 3G brakes but they were not sure. Can anyone help??

After stripping the the dash to access the instrument panel and putting back together (eratic speedo needle), I've now got chimes going off at around 60mph. I'm hoping this is just a Jap warning thing over 55 or 60 but if not, Help, its driving me mad. If it is just a speed warning chimes, where the hell is the chime box so I can end its life. I've tried listening but its difficult to trace whilst driving. On a second note, I need to get 4 centre caps for MONDIA wheels (Tezuka Tsuyoshi Design) any suggestions. I've roamed the net to no avail and wondered if these could be machined. Thanks :p

Right, this is a bit of a strange one. I was driving to the shopping centre the other day and I noticed my car was overheating a little. It was 32 degrees outside (I live in Italy at the moment) so I thought nowt of it really. On the way home it was overheating a bit more so I got home quickly. A few days later I went to the pub in my car and by the time I got there the temp was way up near the top :( I was in the pub for quite a while so it had time to cool down. When I got out I noticed a puddle under my car. About quarter of a mile away from my house the temp was at the top, so I pulled over onto a car park and waited for it to cool down a bit. Set of again and end…

I need to get new tyres this week , stock size, does anyone have any opinions on what make and where to buy? I dont wanna end up with ones that are too soft like yokohama and only get 8000 out of them. Also, how much should a tyre place charge to fit 'em? Thanks..

I went and got my brakes checked yesterday cos they're squealing like a stuck pig, my front discs are warped and my rears are only being used across 1/4 of the disc :eek: (I wondered why they were shite ;) Got quoted £430 inc fitting for new front and rear discs and front pads. Does this sound about right? Not that I can afford it at the moment, but will have to be top of my list when I get paid :(

I guess all imports have the same problem. The horn sounds like it should be on a milk float! Any ideas where to get one that sounds like it belongs in a Z?

Im new to these cars, and i wanted to know what the screen is for that is located behind the indicator stick (the little square screen). Is there any way of testing the screen? When i start up, a little part of it says "ABS" but i presume it says other stuff too???

Hi, Anyone got any idea's where I can get a second hand air con compressor as the one on my uk tt has seized. I don't fancy going to nissan as they will no doubt charge the earth and some more after that. Thanks guys

Just popped down to Lancaster Nissan in croydon. As per the title of the post, the guy there was a great help, sorted out part numbers, put the ones I wanted on order andd explained what is and isnt transferable between jap and uk Zeds. Got to say, good work fella.

I just this weekend bought a ZX twin T, I love it but it is havin problems already, I start it, fine, it runs, fine, when I drop it in drive it stalls!!!! Has anyone got any ideas or know of any reputable mechanics in the home counties??

My air con isn't blowing out cold air anymore, even when you set it to 10 degrees. i presume it needs refilling, can i do it myself or do i need to take it to someone. If so will any old halfords do or does it need to be a specialist?

I'm converting to a manual anyway but while my auto box is out and I have lots of time to do it, is it possible to repair myself? It started slipping in third, then in second on full throttle. It got worse until there was no drive in third - it just revved. Changes all occured as normal though. ATF was very black and smelled burnt. Lasted 18 months with 400ish BHP but eventually said NOOOO! :D Is this just the clutches/brake bands whatever they are and are they "easy" to change?

HI ALL i give up with frustration with the wiring for these fog lights cos mines an import i have to fit one for mot. tried the rear brake lights as fogs using a relay switch but both banks of brake lights came on , i had a bit of success in getting them to come on and off that is as fog lights on both sides of car but you can,t pass mot with fog lights on both sides of car plus the one on the spoiler lit . any body got a photo of a foglight fitted to a z which looks ok to give me an idea where to fit it or a photo of a reverse lamp converted to a foglight or any other options i could try cheers cully z:)

10 Hi! I ran ECU diagnostic on my 300ZX TT and got code 21. Does this mean that the Power Transistor Unit is destroyed? How could I be 100% sure about this? May I use a voltmeter...what values should there be..? Some tip where I should buy the PTU? Thanks10 11
