sb007
The speedo dial in my j-spec only goes up to 110mph but the dials advertised by the Z Centre go up to 190mph.. Are my dials reading correctly, and why the difference?
Guest Welsh Beef
Jap cars are limited to 112mph and therefore a speedo over this speed is not necessary. All other cars are limited to 155mph. You need to chip yours if you want to drive at higher than this figure, unless it already has one. If not why bother wasting £hundereds on a chip when you'll never do the speed, plus it might help keep your license cleaner.
SRRAE
You can get a speed converter which will change the KPH to MPH straight off so instead of having a 190KPH dial you will have a 190MPH dial. I am sure that the converter also gets rid of the 112 kph limit too. Stuart
Guest Eisegerwind
If youre not bothered about delimiting the car and only want the speeo reading MPH instead of KPH, the simplest and cheapest method is to change the 33K resistor R10 on the speedo PCB to a 20K one.
