Hi, My traction control seems to be playing up. It decided to misfire now and then but stops when I turn it off. The wheels speeds are all being picked up correctly and it runs fine when it's off so it's not the injectors either. This problem comes and goes, another problem I have with it is that it has decided to set a rev limiter at 4,500 rpm (which is the same setting as my launch control) again this clears when I turn it to the off position. Before I start shouting at racelogic customer services (if there is such a department), I would like to quickly swap it over with someone else's unit that is working. It will only be a quick unplug and swap for 5 mins …

I have a 90 Fairlady tt. I'm trying to install a blitz turbo timer but the directions are in Japanese. Anybody know where I can find them in English? Also I'm wanting to install a new intake system but not sure if the normal bolt ons you can find on line will work for the TT. One last thing. How much difference will a bov help on a auto and would it require two?

Hi all. I haven't posted here for a while, but I was hoping someone might have a settings file for their Racelogic TC - one that can be read by the Windows-version that someone wrote not so long ago. I'm trying to see what the settings look like, since I can't hook into my Racelogic TC at the moment. I'd appreciate it if someone mailed me the file direct to: dino@owendevelopments.co.uk or dinom@globalnet.co.uk Regards, Dino

I need second opinions, because I'm cacking myself about this... engine rebuilt with forged pistons, bigger cams, etc. I'll hopefully get it back tomorrow (wehay!!!). I know there's a few of you guys on here who've had to suffer a run-in. So: .what's the best fuel to run in on (keep in mind I'll probably be poodling around for 1200-odd miles (loads of fill-ups!)) .what's the optimium speed/type of driving to do? I assume constant speed motorway stuff isn't ideal .I'm gonna drop the rev-limit in the ECU so I can't possibly (hopefully) blow it up. What's best to set it to? 4K? What's gonna happen when the engine hits the new limit? Does it just run, or star…

Hi All, I've had my car waiting for a box swap at a mate's garage for three months now - he's decided he doesn't want to do the job now (****er!!). Problem is I have to get it to Luke in Nottingham (about 80 miles) and I don't wanna drive it (won't change past second gear (Auto), no MOT, no tax etc). Any suggestions how I can get the AA to shift it for me? AFAIK they won't move it if it's capable of moving on its own no matter how dumb it would be to drive it. I have Relay membership but need a way to disable the autobox completely once I've moved it to someone else's driveway. It can't be anything too obvious (they might be able to fix it by some miracle) and r…

Alright people :) Coming home in the p1ssing rain after a no-go at Santa Pod, I noticed my speedo wasn't working  - it was sitting at zero. It then perked up later on and was fine for the rest of the journey. I put it down to big puddles spashing on some electrical connectors somewhere  . Does this sound likely? Yesterday though it was nice and dry and took the zed out. The speedo didn't work again :(, I pulled into a petrol station to fill up and when I started up again the "Power" light on the dash *flashed* 3 or 4 times  . Turned the ignition off, and on again - same flashing again   . Anyway I set off an…

Hi, Sometimes I start up my Z and it sounds lovely, soundtimes it sounds like a tractor! Sometimes a few minutes driving and it'll sound great again, sometimes it goes on for as long as I'm in the car! Has anyone got a solution to this? It's had an oil change and that didn't do much good (wrong oil?). Does it do the car any harm if I stick my foot down when the tappets givin' it some? Cheers, Andy

Guys Just purchased a manual Jap 92 TT. I knew the turbo's were on their way out and so the car is currently with a recommended mechanic, awaiting recon turbo's, new timing belt, ancillary belts, water pump, plugs, fuel /oil filters, calipers and pads. This should, hopefully, bring the car to a good service level, ready for modification. The car already has an HKS exhaust set up to the cat which seems to be in good cond. I'm thinking of de-catting and also fitting either an HKS or Apexi induction system for starters. Members seem to rate the Apexi over the cheaper HKS. Are there any other suggestions or should I stick with the Apexi. If so, where's the best place to…

My z32 has done 104'000 trouble free miles and realise that the turbo's may only have a few miles left in them. I was thinking of upgrading and see various options are available with either Garrett T25 or T28. Firstly can anyone explain the difference between the two types and secondly which would you recommend for a standard road car with very little mods apart from Air filter and Titanium Sparks. I have been offered a trade in off my old turbos for a pair of reconditioned Garrett T28/28. How will this effect the power at various revs. I also believe that the T28 was fitted to the 200sx, I had one of these and used to go through a turbo once a year w…

When checking under body for oil leaks, my mechanic noticed that a certain comapny who some of us love and some hate had bypassed the water lines to the turbos when they had the engine out last year. Any good reason, or just lazyness because they can be a pig to refit?

It sounds like a bag of shi*e, however put your foot down and all seems well? loads of accelleration and doesnt miss a beat?? soon as your off throttle its popping and banging in the exhaust, it feels like its really over fueling if that makes any sense, what can i check??? im having no luck at the minute? any help would be great.

Sorry - I know there's a for sale and wanted section, but my car is in at C&S Wood in bits and I need some parts quickly or the work won't get done in the window I have booked with them (and I won't have my car back for the bank holiday weekend or the NW Forum Members meet!) I desperately need.... a pair of front tie bar bushes (preferebly synthetic) n/s front top suspension arm steering universal joint (lower - between the column and the rack) o/s rear wheel baring (not as urgent) and (if there is such a thing available) I'd be interested in a manual gearbox too! PM me if you have goods ready to despatch this week please! Many thanks.
