Boost leak

June 1, 200323 yr

when the boost needle gets to 0 ... a bit above i can hear like a ticking noise... it is boost related as rpm does not influence this

it seems to be comming from the drivers side ... u can hear it quite well. is the gauge air fed like the gt turbos ?

possible a hole in this pipe.. or a faulty gauge

baked bean can for finding leak ???? how ?

So it actually passed, however i needed to make some quick repairs.
Power Steering was leaking.
Both Tie Rods were loose.
Been advised to get lock tight on the suspension and tie rods where there is no locking nuts.
Front license plate was listed as too small (but i have another full size)
Lastly the engine was running slightly lean.
Later that day i made a trip from my unit in Irvine to Troon then onto Ayr to collect my kids from school and they were over the moon.

I have one of the ones we made and it actually is different, so maybe the design was influenced by each other.
I do like the fact theirs is a transparent one for glass.

Considering it’s LHD I don’t think the car’s been imported from here, it may have visited with its owner but likely the sticker made its way across the Atlantic.
