Does anyone have the same stainless exhaust as me, it was for the strosek kit I believe. It has an olive fitting where you can adjust the angle of the pipework where you want it and can then tighten up my olives were mild steel so have rotted through, I would like to replace these with stainless steel ones but cannot find anyone who has them has anyone here had any luck with these?

Upgraded my dead Zed digital clock with a generic 12v eBay purchase today, seems a cheap fix for anybody interested... About 6 quid off eBay from a UK seller, 3 or 4 quid if you want to wait for a Slow boat from China... Removed it from its housing and stuck it into the (newly emptied) OEM clock housing to then screw back on to the console fascia. It adjusts by means of a push button on a short pair of cables that would not take much work to fit to the OEM reset button on the original housing. Mine is red, which suits me fine, but some sellers do it in blue as well which is probably nearer the factory colour. Probably not for the purists, but it floats my boat and the d…

Hey guys, I just installed a later model ECU into my Z and though everything is working fine so far, I just noticed the potentiometer you turn to check error codes is pointing downwards towards the right. My old ECU had it pointing upwards towards the right. I have looked up some info on which mode this is set to at the moment but I don't really know which way the potentiometer should be pointing to for normal mode. Any ideas what this is set to?

I work in a College and its holiday term with no kids or teachers so plenty of car parking space. There is a Summer school on for young kids and parents are coming and going all day. So this morning I parked up in my usual spot and as usual I leave a space on my passenger side for people to walk up the steps behind me. I looked out the window there now and somebody has wedged there car into that space I left blocking the steps behind them and no doubt hitting my car as they open the door. Plenty of space on my other side but no they save themselves walking 10 feet by wedging there crap car tight against mine. Dick heads.... rant over.

I don't know how may of you caught this on the Beeb/Sky this morning, but a coming together via some questionable reversing by a driver in a lovely 280SL? and a Ferrari in the US...caught my eye because of the 300zx photobombing in the background. The funny thing that tickled me was the sign on the wall of the building behind the cars... perhaps he should have popped in first. Anyway..enjoy! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/video_and_audio/headlines/37017712

Hi, As stated, my car failed it's MOT on excessive CO. I am using #6 rating NGK iridium plugs and running 10psi boost. My results according to the tester were 4500 and they are supposed to be 3900 or less. I have read a trick yo disconnect one of the vacuum pipes on the plenum, does this work? Are there any other tricks I can do before I end up crawling into a corner and crying? Does Redex do anything? Any help is much appreciated. Thank-you Chris Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk

Well it's been a longtime coming but I am looking at get my car resprayed next year. I would ideally like to get this carried out by a local company, but I'm struggling to find anyone that I would be happy to take my car to, and would rather go by someone's recommendation tbh. If you guys would let me have details of anyone you have used for your resprays I would really appreciate it. Not so hung up about costs, but obviously don't want to pay over the odds! One thing to bear in mind is my car being a wide arch, it has an amount of fibre glass on it, so the shop would need to be familiar in prepping & painting'/fettling' some of the panel work. Look forward …

This is part fyi and part for sale thread. I took a punt and bought another stalk as the symbols adorning looked good and true enough when it arrived it was mint, great one thought. Tis the top one in the below pic.... On further inspection/taking out the one i have currently fitted and i have touched on this subject before, please note this pic where you'll notice an extra 3 pinned plug, this is to make the kerb lights come on when i signal that front corner (dips need to be on), a feature i quite like and wish to keep. And these are my plugs that go in said holes, mine is a series 4 slicktop, so of course Jap.

....before I start to tear my dash apart to remove the dial surrounds, I can't remember for the life of me, but does the black backing lift out? I glued them in, so there's likely to be some residue, if I can, I'd rather take the black backing off from another set of clocks. Is this doable or will I have to lift all the dials out and refit them to another cluster?

So I've had this car for a while, but only recently have i had time to do anything to it so i figured I would start another thread for all this car's related work. It's a 1989 JDM na Auto SWB. When I bought it I thought I would take the parts I needed off it for my TT, but the TT works and I don't really need loads of parts for it so I want to keep this car complete and put back on the road. It looks like a barn find, but trust me it's not as bad as it looks (hopefully).
