i have a small issues so want to see what others think. the car will be on the road soon next few weeks. since its been off the road its had fitted bigger turbos the same as jtw gt500 fill 3 inch system form down pipes to back boxes will be fitting the duel maff and stillin translator this week and the 555 injectors. before the car came off the road i fitted a generic chip and turned the boost up to 14 psi that chip is still in the car. now i know it will need a remap to run with all the new uprated bits, but i need to bed in the clutch first it had a 800 miles bed it time. if leave the boost turned off just running actuator level of boost with the chip thats in now and all the mods in the car now including the bigger injector will this be safe or will the ecu be confused and or will it be over fueling to death some imput would be great here as am not sure really the best road to take

At the very least you will need a chip to suit the injectors, without that I wouldn't even start it up. Ideally the car needs a base map then finishing off once it's bed in.

^^^^ This.

If the Ecu isn't mapped for 555's, don't even think about starting it until you have a 555 base map

i could leave the stock injectors in till the clutch has bedded in then fitt the 555 and remap then.

just means i will need to remove the plenum 2 times or like you say get base map chip with 555 tuning on it

Lee Dent can do you a generic chip for your 555s based on your setup and it won't break the bank [emoji106]

do you know who makes the maps on the chips ? and were is noel nowdays

can i get a straight answer who can i trust to get a 555 chip and who can i trust to map the car. no name and shame just the info who can we trust the only name that keep popoing up is greg at pro tune

As far as I'm aware Noel is still trading, but he appears to have moved away from the club. You can buy generic chips from specialityZ. If that's the name that's pops up maybe it's best to speak to him.

Gray is having a Wolf ecu installed and mapped at Tuning Developments in warrington.

I'm in the same boat. Will be leaving my injectors out to prime/test the engine at idle once my new turbos are on,

As for mapping I keep being recommended Greg at protuner,

You said no name and shaming...:whistling:

I'd be wary of buying a chip stateside due to the types of fuel used over there. I've also heard good things about Greg, definitely worth getting in contact with if you're going for a custom map.

Wary yes. But you can really be quite selective. Speaking to them as I've done, you can select things like fuel octane etc.
