Another popular option is to go for a double din centre console to house a double din head unit. These days they come with Apple car play or Android Auto so great connectivity options. I also don’t think they look too offensive or out of place in the 300zx dash!

Ideally I didn’t want Nismo parts as I’m happy with the handling and ride quality. Unfortunately, I had no choice but to get Nismo for the diff kit and the rear lower arms to the subframe due to availability, the rest are new stock replacements. I’ll have a look at the makers mark on the ball joints and report back.

Hi Andrew, I got these from Conceptua Tuning a while back. There’s nothing wrong with the ball joints currently fitted so they’ll probably go back in the parts box! For the bushes, everything is stock OEM where available, otherwise they’re the NISMO variants.

After far too long since I removed the rear subframe, I’ve finally got around to “starting” the refresh! So far so good other than one of the driveshafts refusing to separate from the hub, but I’ll bring some more manly tools home from work tomorrow to solve that! Looking forward to getting it all back on the car and start enjoying it again. ☀️
