rear quarter windows

I am having my rear windows tinted and the guy doing the tinting seems to think the windows are not glass but some kind of lexan material, they have the nippon safety mark on them, Does anyone know if some imports came with lexan windows?

    Never seen this glass before is it a rare Nissan accessory?

    Its written on all 5 side windows I have here.
