Hi all. I was at japshow at the weekend and the 300 was running great. I turned the engine off and went for a look around. I come back and start the car and its missing on one cylinder. I have located the cylinder and swapped plugs and coil packs over and it is still missing on the same cylinder. The spark plug is wet so im assuming the injector is ok. So all I have left is the wiring to the injector or a compression issue. (Really hoping its not a compression issue) Any ideas? any more I can do to check things? What sort of multimeter readings should I get off the wiring to the coil pack? I dont have a multimeter yet so if any other ways …

Hi All, those of you that don't know me, I have Purple Haze a JDM 1998 TT LWB Auto 140000Klicks (87K miles) on the clock. I am about to renew my insurance and have no idea what the value is today? I know what I paid for her last year, what work I have done, Mongoose Cat Backs, HID replacement, Waxoiled, new boots and Serviced but what do I insure her for? Would appreciate any advice chaps, Footman wanted another 50 odd quid over last year and Lancaster seem to have come good when I said 8K value and 3K miles per year, BUT is 8K right. I have to send in 6 photos, engine bay, interior, outside, alloys and they said they can work out the value from that, sounds a bit mad to…

Hi All! Is there anywhere that sells the rubber trim/seal that fit around the glass windows behind the drivers head? Or the rubber trim which seals against the drivers and passengers Windows? Mine are a bit shabby and I'm concerned about water ingress into the doors and bodywork around the Windows, the boot windscreen is letting in a bit of water which settles and runs out of the plastic boot lid interior when it is raised, I left the car out in some heavy rain this weekend to try and find any leaks and there appears to be a couple haha, one from the passengers T top and the other the boot as described Anything available or any solutions known ? Thanks !

Recently purchased a Z, has some stone chips here and there, but would like to get a couple sorted out. Am sure some of you will have a touch up kit Does anybody know of a kit with a good colour match? Car is Red from 1995, I understand that will be Ultra Red AJ4? Are the TouchUpDirect kits a good match? https://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dautomotive&field-keywords=Ultra+red+aj4

I just want more damn power! Having been fortunate enough to drive some HUGE hp Z32s (850hp being the most powerful), I've decided I just can't handle 1bar and most have more! I'm going to be pushing the stock motor a little, but I'm confident it can take it if done correctly. Jimmer rebuilt me a fine engine a decade ago and I'm keen to see how drivable it will be with the correct modifications. I've gotten to the point where everything else has been upgraded except the clutch, so with the exhaust, Brembo brakes, single piece prop and the general amazing health of the engine and turbos, it's time to do something a little more. The plan is 555 injectors, Pro…

As title folks - the NEC 2016 is almost upon us; and we need 4 of the very best cars this club has to offer, in order to represent the Z32 and club on the world stage. Dates for the show are: Thursday 10th November - be there around 9am for set-up Friday 11th, Saturday 12th, Sunday 13th November - show open to the public Sunday 13th November - remain until after the show closes, dismantle and leave Your car will be locked in for the entire duration - no exceptions; and no chance of arriving later or leaving earlier. You do not have to remain with it; although your assistance in manning the stand over the weekend would be appreciated. And if you can't sta…

Picked up my first 300zx this afternoon! A Japanese import twin turbo automatic with 86,000 miles on the clock, driven her home, around a 40 min trip and all well so far! Having got her back I've noticed a few things , I can't seem to adjust the fan speed for some reason when it's coming out of the dashboard vents, I get a yellow power light flash at me on startup and I don't appear to have any dial backlighting. When nearly home I'd did open her up a couple of times (couldn't resist!) and I think I caused a minor coolant leak from the radiator area which has stopped now the car has cooled and seems to be holding coolant when I popped off to the shops in it earlier, very …

I love buying new OEM stuff, even when I don't know quite what it is! I'm due to replace my dash soon as I have found a replacement in near-pristine condition. Mine is ok, but this new one is VERY good. As a result, I thought it high time to replace the AC/hazard carcass and the screws. Whilst I was looking at the parts on F.A.S.T, I noticed another part 25267-40P10 which I assumed mine 'should' have. I don't know what it is, so I just ordered it anyway. Does anyone know what it's for? I can't quite work it out. I'm picking it up from Z1 when I fly over there in a couple of weeks so don't have it with me to 'try'.

I'm just wondering what people's thoughts are. What would it take to effectively change a S1 car into a S2 car. Would it just be a straight swap of the interior?

Hi! I'm picking up a 300ZX Turbo auto on Friday, I had a few insurance quotes lined to and have just attempted to purchase the best one but they did not seem to be able to process the quote, I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the fact that the cars is an import ? Admiral gave me the best quote at £880 , being 21 I struggle getting classic policy's so I'm having to go with a mainstream insurer, Anyone encountered this before or can offer any advice ? Many thanks, Will

Ordering a plug and play ecu from Noz today finally after I clarify pricing. But from his site his expertise here and fair price makes it a no brainier to give it a try. I'm not confident in ordering a chip that I have to solder in myself. Hopefully I will actually gain something from the chip vs the garbage purchase as many of the chips from eBay. Even if only I gain throttle response and a happier revving engine with and increase in fuel economy I'll be happy. Any thoughts? Is the install as simple as it appears with the plug and play unit even if I have the HKS ALC?

First, sorry I've not been on here much lately and not being very active. nothing personal I just haven't given the forum a lot of thought lately unless I got an email notification. I still love it here. Anyway, Although some of you who I talk to in none forum life already know, most don't so I thought it was time to tell people that I've crashed my black zed which I've had for years and years. It happened at the end of August. I've not hit anyone else, just some railings at around 20-25mph. I'm completely fine etc etc, just gutted lol. As to what happened, if I'm completely honest, I'm not really sure, my attention was distracted for a quick second bu…

Some dude is selling a set of ksport coilovers that I'm interested in, the only thing I'm skeptical about is the front spring rates, ksport kontrol pro, it says 12kg front and 6.3kg rear. All the other coilovers I'm looking at for street driving has 8/6kg. Is 4kg more in the front anything to worry about, I like my ride and don't want it to be to harsh. My old Z had Megan ez Street with the 8/6 springs and it was a pretty nice ride.
