  1. Fitment of TT bumper on NA was not a factory option. As you are thinking of replacing with NA bumper the two types have different profiles (with some preferring the TT profile). Pics for comparison. There are two NA's being broken on eBay in the UK (for slip ring). https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300zx-breaking-can-post-world-wide/284119442250 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Breaking-300zx-Z32-Indicator-Stalk-Turn-Signal-ALL-the-Bits-On-Car-Separately/274473370331 Re speedo/odo not working - In the first instance check the speed sensor wiring by the gearbox, the harness and wires going into the sensor itself can get damaged and go o/c. Also has the speedo guage been "converted" to MPH with an aftermarket convertor?
  2. New design - same old mistake...
  3. Wecome to the Club and the start of your Z32 journey!
  4. Firstly, welcome to the Club! Firstly, have you conducted an ECU diagnostics to see if there are any error codes? http://twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/technical/view/1105629/The-Ultimate-Guide-to-ECU-Diagnostics.html As you have done a 120K service was the cambelt correctly installed on the timing marks and tensioner adjusted? https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/index.php/Timing_Belt_Service (scroll down to timing mark photos) and the Ignition timing and CAS setup? https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/index.php/Ignition_Timing You should also check for boost leaks (engine under load and positive manifold pressure). http://www.thumper300zx.com/z32/boostleaks/boost_leak_guide.htm Throttle Position Sensor checking and adjustment (see Nick's comment above). https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/index.php/Throttle_Position_Sensor BTW, there are two coolant temperature sensors, which one did you replace? https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/index.php/Coolant_Temp_Sensor Also, how was the knock sensor replaced - engine in situ or removed?
  5. Damn , knew I should have gone to Costco's yesterday...
  6. Great news Nick - fingers crossed for you!
  7. Nice tool, thanks Alex.
  8. For car parts you will be charged duty (4.5%) on the declared value of the goods and then VAT (20%) on the goods, the shipping and duty combined. Plus a courier handing admin fee for customs clearance (usually £12 to £20 depending on the courier). You can appeal if you don't feel the amount charged is correct.
  9. Missing our Club get togethers, I came across these three videos from the FUJI Speedway in Japan taken last December when a large number of 300ZXs turned up together for a meet with (for me) the star of the day the IMSA "75" 300ZX all under a lovely clear blue sky with Mount Fuji in the backgound! The first video shows off the cars whilst the second video (skip to 10:36 if you like) and third video shows "75" opened up to see inside the rear section of the car and then started up (turn up the volume for those). Great to see the iconic car close up - what a great day that must have been!
  10. These have served me well for many years.
  11. I've kept mine over winter in a dry garage and on a battery conditioner at all times (the type you don't need to disconnect the battery). If the car isn't driven for a few weeks then I will move the car by hand (half a revolution of the wheels) to stop any flat spots developing on the tyres. Some brands seen to be more prone to getting them. If you have mild steel in your exhaust system, then a major cause of failure is internal corrosion from acid moisture produced by the combustion process. You need to drive the car after starting it to get rid of it, otherwise it just sits in the system and does its worst.
  12. AFAIK new OEM '89 spec spoilers are NLA (at least in Europe). I was lucky enought to get a new one from Nissan's European stock and at least two other members managed to do the same shortly afterwards. They may still be available from Japan (try jp-carparts.com). Don't give up on getting a s/h spoiler in undamaged condition as I have seen OEM '89 specs spoilers off old wrecks that are in A1 condition. How or why they have remained that way I have no idea, but they do survive. It all depends on how long you are prepared to wait. If you do manage to get one then I can show you how to mount it on the tailgate with the maximum protection to avoid the water damage which kills them. Part# J6030-42P25
  13. Best wishes on your Birthday Jonce!
  14. For the 34139P-30P00 bushings http://www.ttzd.com/tech/bushingstech.html As you had a manual conversion, on reassembly make sure that the upper and lower rubber dust boots (pictures 6 and 7 in the guide) are present and correctly fitted to stop road and transmission noise getting into the cabin. I see that Z1 do a kit for the pivot rebuild which is nice. https://www.z1motorsports.com/z1-products/z1-motorsports/z1-300zx-z32-speed-shifter-rebuild-kit-p-3519.html
  15. To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.
  16. Best wishes to you all and looking forward to seeing you and your cars in person in 2021.
  17. Could be, it can be hard to tell what Nissan got up to when the bean counters got involved. A bit more info on this particular car: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2644586/Re-1995-300zx-TT-5-Spd-35600-miles-BAT-Auction.html
  18. The other thing to note that the accent stripe along the bottom of the car is missing, which could suggest new paint.
