  1. Welcome to the Club JW and the start of your Z32 adventure! Pictures of your new collection addition would be great.
  2. That interior is quite a transformation! Your car will be in very good hands at PZ.
  3. It should be possible. Make sure the "studs" of the plastic clips don't get pinched between the new brackets and the bumper.
  4. It's a small plastic expanding clip that holds the bracket in place whilst offering up the bumper to the studs.
  5. Always a good idea!
  6. If you are referring to the code 12, then this is the FSM diagnostics procedure: EFEC 112.pdf
  7. 23710-40P13 is for a 1990/08 - 1992/08 NA Auto car. Which assuming yours is an Auto is the right one. https://jp-carparts.com/nissan/partlist.php?maker=nissan&type=132&fig=226A&part=2371040P13&page=1 The Aux fan running on startup is normally an indication of an engine coolant temperature sensor fault (not withstanding a harness fault). It would normally generate a code 13 which your ECU is not showing. However, I've also come across an accounts on TT.net which also gives the same symptoms as you have described which was down to an ECU EPROM fault. I was asking about the EPROM inside the ECU (the four screws on the lid's corners to get inside) to see if the ECU has been modified or damaged in Japan. Unlikely, but you never know. http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/main/view/995323/running-rich-aux-fan-on-check-engine-light-on.html The engine is running very rich. New plugs will run for a while before they foul up and stop firing. Unplugging the coil packs will do the same on those fouled plugs. For reference, this is a link to ECU diagnostics using the LED on the side of the ECU. http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/main/view/1105629/The-Ultimate-Guide-to-ECU-Diagnostics.html
  8. Just to check off things - Do you know if the ECU is stock (soldered or socketed/removable EPROM)? What is the Nissan part# printed on the ECU top lid? Will be of the form of XXXXX-XXPXX (eg 23710-46P80). What is the diagnostics software you are using the talk to the ECU?
  9. Best wishes on your Birthday Craig!
  10. Pretty self explanatory though!
  11. UK spec (Manual) warning lights:
  12. Z1 in the US publish a list of parts and a guide which covers most things: https://www.z1motorsports.com/z1-products/z1-motorsports/z1-300zx-automatic-to-manual-speed-conversion-kit-p-7341.html and https://cdn.z1motorsports.com/upload/Z1 Auto to 5sp conversion Tech.pdf plus the Auto ECU advance override modification: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/main/view/1137609/Auto-ECU-in-a-manual-car.html This thread has lots of pictures for a conversion: http://www.300zxclub.com/showthread.php?t=85616 and for wiring (pictures missing): http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/technical/view/1001493/Auto-conversion-to-5-speed-wiring-info.html
  13. New to me too. Just be aware that the Benley Motor Museum (and Bentley Wildfowl) is permanently closed if your are thinking of visiting them whilst at the show.
  14. Pity, but as you say try again next year. I'm not sure about parking the car away from the show however. On another similar theme this year's Simply Japanese at Beaulieu on 25th July is going ahead and should be (at this time) be outside the stage four (21st June) lockdown lifting. https://www.beaulieu.co.uk/events/simply-japanese/
  15. If you do have a look would you mind getting the VIN for me and I will record the car in my UK specs database?
  16. Looks to be a UK spec manual from photos (headlight washers, rear bumper and r/h pod switches - VIN would confirm that). According to MOT history its last MOT expired in 2014 and had gaps for at least 6 years prior to that. 92,100 miles is not really "very low mileage". The car has a DVLA "export marker" on it. That may explain gaps in MOT history.
  17. https://www.400zclub.com/forum/threads/production-400z-spotted-in-gray-and-silver-–-pics-videos.143/
  18. A bit of background on the car - What is the mileage of the car - service history? Has it had cambelt service (properly installed) and idle ignition timing correct? Clean air filters? Re checking vacuum leaks when manifold pressure is below atmospheric - you will need to pressurize the system: http://twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/technical/view/922678/The-6-Ps-Proper-Preparation-Prevents-Piss-Poor-Performancegt.html Other things re idle (also check the electrical connections to these valves): https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/index.php/Idle_Control re FPR there is also the Fuel damper which can leak fuel when faulty: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2610744/Here-is-how-it-works.html
  19. If you look very carefully there is an engine in that photo!
  20. Best wishes on your Birthday Lee - Don't Panic!
  21. Looks like you had a similar problem to Richard:
  22. Do you mean this? (pic is for a JDM model)
