  1. That area of rust damaged is a lot less than some I've seen Alex.
  2. Well done on your perseverance, I can only imagine how that looked!
  3. $250,000 with five days to go.
  4. Former team drivers are commenting (in "Bid & Comment") on their experiences of driving this car. Jeremy Dale: Not sure who is driving here, but still worth a watch.
  5. $125,000 with 7 days to go.
  6. One of the seven factory supported Z32 race cars constructed by Clayton Cunningham Racing for IMSA GTO competition in the US. This car is chassis number 004 and was raced extensively by Steve Millen during '90/'91. The auction description, photos and the "Bid and Comment" thread has lots of information about the car. A rare chance for someone to own a lovely piece of Nissan motorsports history. How high will she go? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1990-nissan-300zx-twin-turbo-56/
  7. Part# https://z32enjoytheride.wordpress.com/2014/07/19/post-23-97-version-r-steering-wheel/
  8. Nice tube welding! Just how quiet is that system?
  9. Got it now, I read 5mm change was axial not radial. So you will have an extra 5mm unswept area on the outside of the disc now.
  10. Nice wheels Andy. How did you deal with the disc offset after moving the caliper by 5mm?
  11. You will almost certainly "get caught" for the duty these days. You will be charged duty (4.5%) on the declared value of the goods and then VAT (20%) on the goods, the shipping and duty combined. Plus a courier handing admin fee for customs clearance. BTW are you planning on doing the work yourself? If so, this is a compehensive write up for reference: https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/index.php/Timing_Belt_Service
  12. Welcome to the Club! When you say "120K" service, there are quite a few parts normally changed as part of that service. This US retailer (used by lots of members) gives you an idea. https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-infiniti-czp-oem-120k-complete-timing-belt-kit-nissan-300zx-z32-13001-0xx12_p_3849.php
  13. What a sight for sore eyes Nick! Those engine shots have been a long time coming for you.
  14. Welcome to the Club. Would you mind letting us know details about the car? A bit more information/pictures would would help identifying the "these two funky connectors on right side" The Speedo and Odometer are working? Steering heavy? You are aware that you must clear ECU error codes after making repairs to see if the fault has been fixed?
  15. DJ's point about the A/C got me doing a bit of research on the model family for the JDM "99" series. There were four named types - "Version R" in 2+2 "Version S" in 2+2, "Version S" in 2+0 (Slicktop) and "300ZX" in 2+2 (all available TT or NA). From a copy of the JDM FAST book (here) covering the VINs (chassis numbers) allocated during the '98 to 2K production for the "99" series start (from October '98) and go up to (production ends) as follows (cross-checked in FAST): CZ32 (2+0 TT) Version S (Slicktop) 560001 to 560039 GCZ32 (2+2 TT) Version R, Version S and 300ZX 570001 to 570359 GZ32 (2+2 NA) Version R, Version S and 300ZX 060001 to 060653 Z32 (2+0 NA) Version S (Slicktop) 050001 to 050078 Note: there may be gaps in the VIN ranges above where a particular VIN doesn’t exist in the FAST database. So the ranges are not necessarily the total numbers built. It turns out that the "300ZX" was standard fitted with Auto A/C whilst the others were standard fitted with manual A/C. The translated pages are from a copy of the JDM "99" marketing brochure (here). The translated text quality is not perfect but you can get the drift of what is being described (click images to enlarge). The VIN plate model codes for the "99" series is below (translated) and shows the codes J, T and X for the Version S, R and 300ZX types respectively. A quick search in the Nissan FAST database shows this example of the 300ZX type (X) which usually (but not always) indicates that the car was in fact built, in this case a 2+2 TT auto in silver metallic. I don't know how many X's (300ZX) were built in the "99" series but it would be great to see examples of the type. The version R and S's being usually associated with the "99" models.
  16. With my curiosity piqued it looks like someone has had a go at fixing the gears, amazing the detail you can get to with 3D printing. https://imgur.com/gallery/Bk5aer5
  17. Well one model in the 1999 range had digital climate control pods, the white one on the right of the group.
  18. Love the colour coordinated tie down straps!
  19. Diagnostics for fan and mode switches.
  20. Euro FSM wiring diagram for manual A/C: ha62.pdf
  21. For calendar months of production start with 9901. If you want model year then from 9810 when the new 570001 VINs start which are the "99s".
  22. Look for the GCZ32 group (2+2 TTs) in the first colum, then the date range (9901 to 9912 or beyond) and the sum the VIN range for each month you are interested and sum that the lot up.
  23. This should help: https://z32enjoytheride.files.wordpress.com/2015/09/z32-jdm-production-numbers.pdf
  24. I would probably assume that both fuel pump and starter are wired into the two immobilisation circuits. There are two relays inside the M999T (see first page of instructions) which make and break the circuits. You could pull the two fuses 3A and 20A (see page four of intructions) and see if that disables the alarm and sets the immobiliser relays to closed allowing the starter motor and fuel pump to operate. Otherwise you can join the two groups of black immobiliser wires together inside each of the red circles below to remake the two circuits.
  25. This any use? http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2549845/I-have-one-solenoid-and-you-only-need-one-if.html
