  1. ACPF source from the Nissan parts network in the UK, Europe and Japan. Parts are priced up on their website and are usually discounted on Nissan's UK list price. I've found them to be cheaper on some items than importing from the US when shipping and duty are taken into consideration. As with all things it pays to shop around, but I've always had good service from ACPF.
  2. A new career for Barry perhaps?
  3. When I've used Fedex in the past they have paid any duty and VAT owed on my behalf so that the shipment is not delayed in customs (or handler's storage) waiting for you to pay before release. I get a Fedex invoice in the mail. That's the £12 service charge. On a large order I'm not really bothered, but on a small order it does sting a bit.
  4. If the outer sill is showing rust then it will almost certainly be the case that the inner sill structure will be corroded too. You can see what is involved in repairing the structure in this thread (scroll down to relevant posts): https://www.mig-welding.co.uk/forum/threads/thanks-everyone.15465/
  5. The seller declares the value of the goods with the shipment. However, if HMRC are suspicious of the true value when it arrives in the UK then the buyer can be asked to declare what they think the value (as I have been in the past). This has implications as you can imagine. The other thing to bear in mind is that in the event of a total loss during shipment (for example the package goes missing) that the maximum payout will be the shipper's declared value.
  6. The Gods were looking after you Simon! Will be great to see her in the metal one day.
  7. Another vintage Nissan garage sign listed on ebay. Last one came up in 2018, they are hard to come by. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rare-Nissan-Shop-Car-Dealership-Showroom-Large-Display-Sign/402655733083
  8. Firstly, welcome to the Club! How close to the body of the solenoid are the wires broken off? At the black grommet or at the metal base of the solenoid?
  9. It all rather depends on the declared value of the goods. You will be charged duty (4.5%) on the declared value of the goods and then VAT (20%) on the goods, the shipping and duty combined. Plus a courier handing admin fee for customs clearance. CZP have the kit of 3 on sale ATM. https://conceptzperformance.com/nismo-nissan-jdm-taillights-complete-3pc-kit-nissan-300zx-z32-26550-vp125-kt_p_131.php For reference the parts#'s are: 26555-VP125 26550-VP125 26540-VP100
  10. I bet you were keeping an eagle eye on that trolley jack going under the car!
  11. Ah Ha - I See What You Did There!
  12. Unbolt the 6 allen key fixings around the boss (I've arrowed one of them in red) and remove boss. Looking down inside the cast aluminium adapter you should then be able to see the original steering wheel nut at the bottom of the adapter (location arrowed in green). Unscrew the nut and remove the adapter. You should then be able to see if the original slip ring is still there.
  13. Welcome to the Club! Originally Ashspec were considered technically the best (and probably still are), however he pissed of so many people with his poor business skills that he has been dumped by the US retailers. For reference: http://www.ashspecz.com/shop/prodInfo2.php?prodID=17 http://www.ashspecz.com/shop/prodInfo2.php?prodID=18 I bought my Ashspec kit from SpecialityZ who now sell their own version of the kit: https://www.specialtyz.com/sz-smics.html https://www.specialtyz.com/sz-25-smic-piping.html There are also versions from Z1 in the states which members have used and Jim@Powerzed can probably comment on.
  14. There are two types of perspex strip, make sure you are aware of the part numbers. The strips are very fragile to ship, handle and install (don't over tighten fixings) and your best bet is to order them through a UK Nissan dealers spares dept so that you can inspect the strip for cracking/damage before you pay and leave the dealer. For reference - with 3rd brake light: https://www.z1motorsports.com/rear-lights/nissan/oem-300zx-z32-third-3rd-brake-light-assembly-p-664.html (see the Nissan handling instructions) Without 3rd brake light: https://www.z1motorsports.com/rear-lights/nissan/oem-300zx-z32-third-3rd-brake-light-lens-p-5800.html
  15. Best wishes on your Birthday David!
  16. Best wishes on your Birthday Gary!
  17. Great looking car Simon - thieving Ba****ds.
  18. Currently up for auction with bidding now at $12,250 with 1 and a bit days to run. Allthough not considered by some as desirable as its TT brethren this is a very clean and amazingly low mileage example. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1994-nissan-300zx-8/
  19. The speed sensor FSM test: el-44.pdf Also make sure that the end cap (arrowed) is flush with the body of the sensor.
  20. AFAIK that was for JDM MY 97-98 cars.
  21. The passenger side windscreen scuttles are usually damaged by not removing them first before taking the battery out. The factory finish on the plastic does fade with age.
  22. Fitment of TT bumper on NA was not a factory option. As you are thinking of replacing with NA bumper the two types have different profiles (with some preferring the TT profile). Pics for comparison. There are two NA's being broken on eBay in the UK (for slip ring). https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300zx-breaking-can-post-world-wide/284119442250 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Breaking-300zx-Z32-Indicator-Stalk-Turn-Signal-ALL-the-Bits-On-Car-Separately/274473370331 Re speedo/odo not working - In the first instance check the speed sensor wiring by the gearbox, the harness and wires going into the sensor itself can get damaged and go o/c. Also has the speedo guage been "converted" to MPH with an aftermarket convertor?
  23. New design - same old mistake...
  24. Wecome to the Club and the start of your Z32 journey!
  25. Firstly, welcome to the Club! Firstly, have you conducted an ECU diagnostics to see if there are any error codes? http://twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/technical/view/1105629/The-Ultimate-Guide-to-ECU-Diagnostics.html As you have done a 120K service was the cambelt correctly installed on the timing marks and tensioner adjusted? https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/index.php/Timing_Belt_Service (scroll down to timing mark photos) and the Ignition timing and CAS setup? https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/index.php/Ignition_Timing You should also check for boost leaks (engine under load and positive manifold pressure). http://www.thumper300zx.com/z32/boostleaks/boost_leak_guide.htm Throttle Position Sensor checking and adjustment (see Nick's comment above). https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/index.php/Throttle_Position_Sensor BTW, there are two coolant temperature sensors, which one did you replace? https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/index.php/Coolant_Temp_Sensor Also, how was the knock sensor replaced - engine in situ or removed?
