  1. been ages since i did mine -but i remember a ratchet spanner was essential!! ****in annoyin though... removing a nut one click at a time! good luck!! Rich
  2. phone up and (try to) cancel - they're obliged to give you the number - assuming you have had the contract long enough & give them enough notice as per their terms & conditions. You'll probably end up screaming with them - all i've heard about AOL is bad!! Oh, and you might have fun getting rid of all the AOL crap on your computer!!
  3. thought indian wrote his off overtaking someone turning right?!?!!?
  4. Isn't there an approved insurance valuation guy on zclub??

check it at the handbrake end first - there's adjusment there, and more often than not you'll find a nut used to get 'that last bit of adjustment'... at this point, your cble's stetched beyond use! (or if there's no nut there, you can always put one there, if you don't mind being a cowboy (girl ;)) Rich
  6. thought that was a threat at first! I always thought you could specify your spring rates with coilovers??
  7. some info here (never had it myself, but knew i'd read it somewhere!!) http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=14620&highlight=ignition+solenoid
  8. I saw those skirts ages ago, but could never figure out where they were from... absolutely gorgeous!
  9. not being funny, but posting a thread like this is ****in ridiculous - pm him and sort it out in a mature way of you want to. If you don't want to, PM the commitee and do it in private. All that's going to happen here is a massive argument & IMO the thread should be locked. Grow up!
  10. cheers guys - just measured the pitch & that's what they are! Hopefully by the weekend I'll be able to stop a bit more sharpish!
  11. I thought i'd seen them quoted at £40 a set, which is why i wanted to source them elsewhere. And the ones I've got are high-tensile aerospace grade so no worries there ;)
  12. I know I can buy them, but I can get them from a mate gratis if I know the size... found Blackmagic's picture (below) and got some M12 (not sure of pitch) which go in fine but don't 'bite' like I expected - standard calipers & bolts are much harder to tighten in comparison. Am I missing something, or were the threads on my old calipers just completely full of shite?!? Rich
  13. had a similar problem when some silly old bitch went up the back of my company car while I was stationary!! It's a merc and they tried to give me a corsa, sol I told them to **** off... and ended up with a better spec than mine, brand spanking new e-class for the week, while the old dear was landed with a bill for about a grand. I did feel a bit guilty afterwards though - I got a notice that her insurance had refused to pay, and they were claiming it off her through county court! Hopefully it convinced her to destroy her licence and stop driving eh!!!
  14. but it's not a bright idea to bypass an important sensor, then go out and see if you get full boost (which will heat up your coolant)... first you'll know of a problem is when you see the steam!!!! I assume you've cleaned up the plug??
  15. For the price of it, just get it replaced - you should have it by the weekend if you order it today.
  16. probably more interested in function than form ;)
  17. Oulton Park 10 Nov - problem being i'm going on holiday for 2 weeks at the weekend so got about 3 weeks to get the car ready. If you're interested, it's £130 for open pit lane, £1 for additional driver. Rich
  18. I'll take the sandwich plate if it's not wanted above... got a track day coming up and still not put oil sender in! Rich
  19. Assuming you paid by credit card, get your bank to recall the payment asap before they clear funds. Rich
  20. doubt they'd write it off for that! you've got the car, and they can't just take it off you - get some quotes in from traders on here and take it from there.
  21. Seats do fold, and you can get a tow bar. There was even a roof-rack on the options list to complete the 'grandad look'!! I think someone was actually selling a tow bar the other day actually! anyway, i'll make way for the barrage of abuse now  Rich
  22. A mate of mine can usually get hold of most bearings - any info stamped on it?? Rich
  23. Yep!! Seen a few guys using these to get through noise tests at Track Days! Auto switching maps is cool - any ideas what sort of differences you're expecting?! I'm assuming it's going to be a hefty dose of torque? Rich
  24. I just bought a set - ordered friday night, turned up tuesday morning! Fit well, could maybe do with being 1mm tighter on the ends, but they tighten up fine. Can't complain for the money!
  25. heard some good things about 'chips away' - it's a franchise though, so really depends on how skilled the person local to you is... try and get a recommendation. Otherwise, a decent bodyshop will do it for you (in fact a shit one could do it for you, but wouldn't match the paint as well!!) Rich
