It's not too bad... just fiddly really - no short cuts though! And, you can't really 'inspect' the belt - at least not in a way that you'd be able to confidently say "yep, that'll last another 20,000 miles!" Not worth the risk if you don't know for definite it's been done imho, get it replaced!

plastc cover pops off really easily (4/6 clips), and needle can be moved back as said above... it's not that delicate unless you start pulling needles off, it'll probably just have been knocked around in transit - the needles move VERY easily. Worst case, yes jap one will fit in. Rich

Once your speedo signal is corrected, it HAS to affect the other items because of the way they're connected... as in the speed signal goes from the speedo to other components. Rich

the key profiles are both identical, so yes if you cut a valet blank from a master key it will only work as a valet. (think there's one groove/ flute less on the valet)... similarly, if you cut a master blank from a valet it will work as a master.
