summons
depends why - if documents have not been provided, for example, it's a reasonable assumption to continue under the assumption there are none! indian - think you should go see a solicitor and get a qualified response instead of some quasi-legal advice on here!

A good reason to hate chav’s.
if you got his numberplate, it's not difficult to find out his address... i'd be paying him a visit!!

Tom Tom
i use mine with the sound right down (so I can just hear the speed camera warnings). never gone drastically wrong, but it quite often tries to take me down no entries/ wrong way down 1 way streets when i'm in city centres!!

police gun
only if you were verbally told at the time or notified in writing within 14 days (Notice of Intended Prosecution). If your solicitor told you anything else, they should be reported to the law society!

Anybody work for Audi (or VW)
Bit of a problem with my girlfriend's A2 suspension... the spring retaining cup on the nearside shock absorber has buckled and allowed the spring to move out of alignment, destroying the bearing in the process!! The only parts I can find are the dampers - everything else seems to be a dealer-only part, however I believe that the parts are common with the Polo... What I'm after is the part numbers for the front suspension (bearing, retaining cup, top mount & possibly bottom mount). Going to try GSF tomorrow (but parts not listed in their catalogue) - anyone know any other suppliers worth trying?? Thanks for reading the essay!! Rich

Bonsaicars, are they good?
That may be true - but the thread about the skyline WITH PICTURES should be enough to put anyone off...!

Bonsaicars, are they good?
do a search!!! never dealt with them, but, assuming there's only one, the general concensus is they're shite!!

Rear Quarter Panel Replacement
wide arch kit would cover a lot of it...

Fitting new stereo - wiring help please!
you should be able to get a short adaptor harness - pretty sure halfords do them. Otherwise, it's straighforward enough to wire it in directly - just search on here for the wiring colours (or they'll be in the online manual).

MPG Manual TT
don't apologise for me! And, I think what you said in another post is far more out of order if it is a member's car than me pointing out that you shouldn't be buying a 3.0 twin turbo car if mpg's part of your criteria!

MPG Manual TT
definitely! un-fookin-believeable! buy a ****in prius if you're bothered about economy!

***chav Smashes Windscreen***
good on you I say! I am sure that in my lifetime (I'm 26) there's going to be a massive revolt & civil unrest like you can't imagine: everyone you speak too is pissed off with criminals & imigrants hiding behind our (well europe's) stupid laws - the emphasis has shifted from protecting the victims to worrying about the rights of the criminal, and it will have to change. I only remember getting a slap/ smack from my parents a few times but it was enough for me to behave (mostly) in the future. Bottom line was I got into a bit of trouble with the law when I was 16/17 and my parents said they'd help me one time only, if I ever got in trouble again I was on my own - and I knew they meant it! Unbelievable now when you see kids who aren't even teenagers with asbo's and parents who coulcn't give a ****! Get rid off CCTV and let the police deal with trouble like they did in the old days I say!!

425bhp from 1.5 litre in 1951 ??
that's not what's being done - it's just being pointed out how early race cars were performing at unbelievable power levels, and using innovations we all think of as modern. I think we're all aware that the 2 aren't directly comparable. :slap:

hes arrived!!!
nice one si!! :duffer:

Brembo brakes
350 ones will fit without adaptors, and I think the pistons differ in size... stick with 350 for ease of fitment, although the price difference may tip the balance!!

Water pump
it's honestly noy much more work to just do the belt and all the bits - cambelt's not hard to swap, just time consuming!! I did mine comfortably in a weekend, and I was taking regular breaks and doing bits around the house at the same time..

Tastefully!! bonnet vent options
i've actually got a c-class company car, and have quite often looked down from a bedroom window at the 2 cars and thought about this... think I even photoshopped it somewhere! Think it'd look pretty good, and actually work!!!

Who's still got the original titanium key then?
yep - just get a standard blank and have the valet key copied... it's the blank that differs not the profile. Rich

My nuts are so tight ?
think i'd rather spend the 5 minutes and a few quid on coolant to remove it than go the cowboy route ;)

My nuts are so tight ?
you forgot "don't come crying to me when it goes horribly, horribly wrong!!" air gun all the way!

Very Expensive JAE!?!?!?
NO! For an import they assess the approximate year of first use and assign a plate. They don't always get it right, but only out by a year!!
