  1. Cheers guys... I'll be wiping it tomorrow!!
  2. They only adjust - they don't have a release lever to get access to the rear seats... although I bought them second hand, I could be being really stupid!!
  3. I've got Cobra Daytona's and they're a pretty good match for Series 2 suede. Only thing is they don't tilt so the back seats have to go... If you wanted to go for a standard suede trim, I'm sure you could find a tilt/ recline which would match and look oem. No pics I'm afraid, as it's all in bits at the minute. As for electrics, you'll only get forward backward to work. Rich
  4. No worries - didn't take it as a sarky comment! It does look like they've rushed Vista out to look as good as OS X, regardless of any bugs!
  5. Think you may be right... I just knew Vista was gonna be **** - had a nightmare when ME came out. Microsoft suck dick!
  6. I've bought my girlfriend a Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop running Vista. Everything works fine - except the wireless connection. Basically, I'm getting the "windows cannot connect to the wireless network as there was no response from the router" error message. I've stripped the security from the router (which is a Netgear DG) and connected to it with my Macbook so it is working. A quick google has brought up a few possibilities - basiocally Vista doesn't 'hesitate' as much as XP when sending wireless signal - which causes the problem; a firmware update normally sorts it. Now here's the big problem - I've just switched to SKY broadband and the admin console is specific to SKY so I can't update the firmware... SKY tech support are blaming the laptop so no joy there!! I've also put a PMCIA wireless card in, and that has the same problem - and is Vista compatible... so i'm fairly certain i'm screwed as I think the username & password are coded into the sky box so I can't use another one! Anyone have any suggestions?? Please?!
  7. not bein funny mate but wtf? the cambelt's loose, so they change it and leave the tensioner on? Has the full service ever been done that you know of? If not, you can't seriously be lettin them just swap the belt?
  8. Just ring around - it's pretty straightforward... could even do it yourself if you could get to a pit/ lift...
  9. Makes no odds - unless you post a video or something else as stupid! It's hardly an admission under caution! I reckon the Police would even work on the assumption that 99% of the speed claims on the internet are vast exaggeration's anyway!! The roads idea is a good one i reckon... I was driving up from cornwall a few weeks back and took a scenic route - I was amazed at how awake I felt after 4/5 hours driving; I'd even go as far as to say it's safer to get off the motorway occasionally to wake your brain up!
  10. One complete spare engine... in fact almost one complete spare car at the minute!!
  11. it's VERY good - you shouldn't lose interest!!
  12. erm, public forum... doesn't a moderator think this portrays the wrong message?
  13. called round at my parents this evening, and my dad came in at about 8 and said "you've got to come and see this..." there's a hump - backed bridge just round the corner and, well, see for yourself... (not the best pic, but the driver was understandably upset/ embarassed... and you'd be amazed how many camera phones appeared!!)
  14. My mate's got one and it put me off to be honest. Suspension/ alignment problems saw it in the main dealer for almost 2 weeks (this was when it was only 1 yr old), it's god-awful slow in V6 form, and there's basically not really anything sporty about it! Seems like it full of gimmicks (voice command - amusing for about 10 seconds) and electronics which you just know will go wrong and cause nightmares (suspension). That said, they do look ****in cool!
  15. When my PAS pump went it only made a noise when under load - i.e. when the wheel was turned.
  16. I'd say charge stabiliser is a waste of time. Grounding kit *MAY* help, but only because it will restore good grounding to all electrical components - i.e. the same as cleaning all the existing ones would do... quicker to fit the grounding kit though - and it does look cool! Rich
  17. Maybe the Ferrari was being over-ambitious in his manouevre, but if there'd been a 2-second gap in between cars he could have pulled in no problem... how about the alternative cause of events: car at front of line was doing 45 mph in a 60, drivers behind were pissed off but didn't have the power to overtake... Ferrari does, gets in front of first car and first car panics cos they've not been watching their mirrors and dabs brakes. Cue pile up behind, one car swerves to avoid collision causing pile up on other side... erm, Ferrari driver pulls onto grass to offer assistance?? haha - point is, tailgating causes much more accidents than lairy overtaking!
  18. believe he was banned...!
  19. On a similar topic - did anyone hear about the research into the effects of garlic on our bovine friends... apparently it halves their CO2 emissions - now that's a much better approach than banning cars imho!
  20. Ok, so 'Chris Davies' is a tw4t, and hopefully will be dead by 2013... but which fookin hippies vote these people into office? Who are you?!?!
  21. instead of waiting to see if the battery dies, get hold of an ammeter and full fuses one by one to isolate which circuit the drain is in... Not aware of any series car having a timer relay. You sure it's not just the door switch that's gone? Would explain the interior light staying on & the door open light - you probably just can't see it in the day!
  22. have you been messing with the brakes? There is a bleed point on the ABS unit itself - which I didn't realise until I RTFM!! Can't remember the bleed order now, but worth bleeding them first before loking for other problems...
  23. Goober Snickle-Brains... quite like that!
  24. how many people are frantically trying to remember if they bought anything off you now!!!
