Seats
you'll probably struggle to get anything to slot straight in as the rails are an unusual shape... possibly another nissan would have the same mounts?? It's not a major job to fabricate new mounts by welding a seat to the original rails though.

Manual to Digital climate control conversion
Ah *****cks - that will teach me to scan read!! Manual was on early cars, then re-introduced on the later models when costs were cut apparently... never seen them myself to be honest.

love to be able to do this (capoeira)
aparently it originated as a way of slaves keeping fit/ being able to fight as it was passed off as ceromonial dancing -absolutely awesome.

Manual to Digital climate control conversion
Here you go... was Mark asking, and 2 people confirmed: thread link Good luck! Rich

Manual to Digital climate control conversion
AFAIK it is possible - pretty sure Markzx did it on one of his... think it was just the pod itself and one of the ecu's under the dash which needed changing, but it's a PITA to get to!!

Full leather interiors custom or standard re trim your views?
I'd be interested (not in the short term) but definitely longer term - and as above to re-trim non-standard seats.

95 million, euro millions
If you had that much money, you'd have the best tax advisor in the world - so tax wouldn't be an issue... you'd exploit every loophole going and not give a toss if they came after you... the interest from your bank balance alone would cover legal fees!! Fight the system!

Tax disc placement
yes - it has to be nearside, out of the sweep of the wipers... you could try a polite letter with pictures explaining it had been done that day & why - and if he's got the time/ balls, then go all the way to court as it's unlikely the CPS would consider a prosecution to be in the public interest as it was only a technicality. The police will also know that it was taxed from the central database.

Cost of going on a public weigh bridge?
There are no fixed costs - Trading Standards just enforce procedures, nothing else. A friend of mine has one, so I use it for free... if you search for some in your area & tell them you just want to weigh a car and don't need a ticket they shouldn't charge you much as they won't have to fill out the paperwork/ keep the ticket etc...

Conzult
Read the post again - it's not me with the pissy attitude! I agree with you!

Conzult
Apart from the fact that it's much easier to learn about consult and what it's telling you - and to learn more about your car - than to learn Japanese! With your thinking, knowledge would die as everyone would just look for someone else to do everything for them. Possibly the most ridiculous post I've ever read on a car forum - why don't we just get rid of all technical related info on here and tell people to speak to someone who knows what they're doing :headvswal :headvswal Unbelievable

tragic accident heart goes out to all involved!!
yeah but when you're old enough to afford it yourself, you can't blame anybody else if you end up dead - in this case the ****wit dad's 100% responsible in my opinion!

Reaplcing stock fibreglass rear spolier
how about going to an accident repair place and asking them to just do the section that will be under the spoiler - doesn't matter how poor the finish is after all... then you can bond the spoiler on and then you/ the body shop that's doing the respray can feather the edges or take it back down to metal?
-
Reaplcing stock fibreglass rear spolier
don't try spraying with 2 pack unless you know what you're doing - lethal stuff!! You need a ventilated mask and proper extraction etc... can't you just get them to give it a quick spray over the boot, move on to another panel then you can bond it on in between coats??
-
HID's DFT official view
well it's taken them over a year so far... can't see it ever being an issue. Worst case, fail mot, put standard bulbs back in, pass mot, refit HIDs - pain in the arse but aren't lots of things!!! Could expect more trouble from police if they're poorly adjusted or dirty.

High Mileage?
If 95% of cars are well over 100k, then 95% of the associated service histories are not worth the paper they're written on!! Think it's fair to say that the majority of imports are clocked UNLESS you have history with it (although it's hard to comprehend) AND you have the original export paperwork and auction grade sheets so you can be sure it came direct to the UK and didn't 'disappear' anywhere for a few years... With UK's with service history, you can get in touch with the garages for fuurther info too & be fairly confident that everything's in order...

show me your knob
have you found someone to do it... that was my plan too!

350z Brembo brake calipers
yep - I just meant when it comes to replace them... 350z's probably been round long enough for there to be plenty of options.
-
350z Brembo brake calipers
basically the same - disk offsets are different though, so that may have an impact on the cost of disks as you can't use skyline disks. I think it's AndyP who fitted a set... he could confirm...

Weight of Zed??
Mine was 1580 - something when I weighed mine. That was on a DOT - certified weigh-bridge too....

import or UK spec
Welcome! in general terms (and there are exceptions) UK cars have more rust, but are cheaper to insure. There are minor differences in spec, but nothing major. Buying on condition is definitley the best plan - just bear in mind that turbos don't last forever... so if they've not been replaced, they will probably be have to in the not too distant (saying that, some well maintained cars on here have hit 120k before needing new tubs). Good luck!

Roll cages.
plus vat ;)

series 2 ptu wiring
the damage has probably been done already! It is possible to repair them - there's a how-to somewhere on opening it up and re-soldering... I used one like that for a couple of years, no problem. Rich
-
series 2 ptu wiring
No Mods - it's just an upgrade as the original PTU were prone to failure... as in they WILL fail at some point. Rich

Gatso question
Gatsos are not home office approved for forward facing use, so you can't be prosecuted - they do quite often go off as you're approaching them though! I was also going to PM you... HIDs received, they look great, many thanks!
