  1. i think it's mainly because the holes are drilled into the blanks, so the stresses aren't relieved afterwards.
  2. oh no. she doesn;t sing does she?!
  3. my friend had some made for a M535 track car - they did eventually crack... second ones were grooved only and have been ok... to be fair, they were abused to hell tho: it;s only ever used on the track, and typically out for 20 laps at a time. Guess it depends on what you want to use the car for (and whether you just want the holes for looks). Oh, there was no noticeable difference between the 2...
  4. you're right: http://dictionary.cambridge.org/define.asp?dict=CALD&key=12712&ph=on
  5. to be honest, once it's set up, you get to 'know' your gauges so the units are irrelevant - as long as you notice if/ when one of them is showing an abnormal reading...
  6. as much as I hate to do it... I'd be interested in the rad, bracket, fan and unorthadox pullies...
  7. ah... that's good then, just got back and haven't been able to find a gauge! Have got a a couple of other bits for you tho... will try and frop them round tomorrow, let me know if you;re about around luchtime...
  8. doesn't the car need to have fsh and be under a certain age tho??
  9. oh my god... to show off to his friends?! to pick out the fit ones?! haha
  10. only rear fogs are required for mot. DTA may do the bulbs youe require - I know they do leds to match the HID kits... otherwise yep, ebay should have loads. hth Rich
  11. always going to be difficult... you could go down and actually see what he finds when he pulls the heads off? how did you pay??
  12. you've swapped the coil packs, but that doesn't mean the PTU is outputting on that cylinder... the noise could be fuel slurping around...
  13. blue lights are only legal on emergency service vehicles.
  14. he means just swap the speedo unit - all of the gauges within the cluster are interchangeable...
  15. they can pass the debt to a collection agency who will attempt to collect the money, but are legally powerless until a court has agreed you actually owe the money, so don't worry about that. It's illegal to record a telephone conversation without the knowledge of the other party, so it's unlikely to be used (although your attitude has no bearing on the legalities of the case). I'd say just reply to the letters and play the game - they probably won't take it any further - you can't get a CCJ until it's gone to court. They're required to issue a final demand before issuing a court action so you may as well wait until that happens before you pay up! Check your contract for the interest terms, and make sure they're not too severe first though!
  16. pirtek or someone similar should be able to make them up for you easily...
  17. mine's still not put back together...but the ring is high on my to-do list when it is, so I'd probably be interested if I could fit it in round work...
  18. only on cars post 2001 - so won't affect any Z32.
  19. is it a jspec? if so, a speedo convertor would be messing up the ECU signal if it's still got the original clocks on...
  20. can't you go with oversized valves and get pistons to suit?
  21. Rubbish! I've never paid to transfer money unless is was by CHAPS or international - and now it's FPS, it's an instant transaction with no fee! The point is the seller should pay the fees as it's his fault.
  22. they're just actuators to harden the suspension, so won;t affect anything else...
