  1. Who's given you an insurance quote??
  2. yep - first time i did a full service, took about a day and a half - entirely because I didn't have some tools and had to piss around 'making' something... off the top of my head, think the problem was i didn't have any 1/4" allen head bits, and my 1/2" ones wouldn't get to a couple of bolts on the water pipes. If you read through all the guides and make sure you've got all the tools to hand, you should find it pretty straightforward.
  3. first thing, see here the connector's probably come loose, or corroded... once this is sorted, you should be displaying the correct temperature, so that's that sorted - can't say it will cure the problem though, but you never know. Once the display's working, and the ECU has all the correct sensor inputs, if you've still got the problem you can start ooking for something physically wrong.
  4. 16 hours?!?!? has he ever done one before??
  5. I'm pretty sure showing -86 is a failed ambient air temperature sensor - the one behind the bumper. An airlock wouldn't cause the unit to show a constant & incorrect temp.
  6. steering angle sensor needs to be centred before you have alignment done - you can't centre the steering wheel by adjusting the tracking (well it can, but the fault would still be there). The hicas light comes on once the car detects prolonged periods of turning - i.e. you are driving normally, but the sensor is constantly detecting a steering input.
  7. haha - reminds me of school "WALK! Don't run... keep on the left!!" True enough, it is annoying! Hope your 10k post isn't going to be on this thread!!!!
  8. it's under your print settings - long time since i've used a PC, but the option's something like 'print pages per sheet'... it was on really old versions too...
  9. you just had the cambelt changed?!?
  10. Those seats appear to have had the centres replaced - standard leather has smooth centre pieces, not stitched...
  11. what leather panels?? As far as I knew, panels came in tweed and various suede like materials - never seen oem leather
  12. Agree it's almost definitley been clocked - but isn't that standard S1 trim?? My first zed had leather seats and tweed panels and I thought that was right? My next one's got suede but that's S2
  13. it's quite hard, though not impossible, to prove misrepresentation in the courts - his defence would be that to the best of his knowledge the mileage was still in kms... legally that would have been an 'innocent misrepresentation' and, at best, you would be able to sue for the difference in price the mileage would have made... As for the car being, potentially, a dog - unless you can prove that he knew and withheld information it's pretty much a no-go. It sounds like it'd be worth getting someone to glance over the car as said- misfiring and noisy lifters are common problems - do a search on here, but misfiring is 99% of the time dodgy connectors. Autoboxes do go very often... never had one in a zed myself, but sometimes cleaning the filters can give a (possibly temporary) reprieve... Good luck!
  14. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=516687&in_page_id=1770
  15. AFAIK it's actually/ partially built - seen some progress pics of it...
  16. I think I should just quit and go to bed :headvswal I assume no 1 would have been kept by Nissan... so anybody know where 2 &3 ended up?!
  17. just disconnect the harness...
  18. Cool, cheers - seems to be around the same... original solicitor's standard fee was considerably higher than, disbursements took it to almost double!!
  19. Just after some quick advice about how much it should cost to get the following done: transfer of equity into one name following a divorce; there is a court order in place which sets out a settlement figure, and there is no charge over, or any other interest in the property once completed. My understanding is that what needs to happen is: • Mortgage company to confirm their agreement • Land Registry search made to confirm those named • Application to alter registry signed by both parties and submitted Is that it?? Divorce solicitor was an absolute dickhead, so want someone else to deal with it, but quotes are all over the place!! I thought it'd be very straightforward...! Thanks Rich
  20. amazing - so haulage companies have to send 2 vehicles, which will no doubt have the same if not more emissions, plus the cost to the environment of manufacturing the extra vehicle in the first place, plus the environmental cost at the vehicle's end of life...
  21. Check your maths!!!! 4 tyres @ 100 = £400, less 25% = £300 2 tyres @ 100 = £200, less 15% = £170... x2 = £340 I'd take 4 @ 25% ;)
  22. Surely you just mention forum membership after you've had a quote & then get your discount?? Or would the starting quotes be different?!
