  1. excellent... cheers Andy - didn't actually realise they had manuals available for download :headvswal
  2. I'm 99% sure that the Apexi Neo can run twin MAFs like the previous version, but can someone confirm before I buy one?! Rich
  3. Well fortunately, you'd never have to - the burden of proof would be on the police... and just like you couldn't prove you weren't looking at it... they couldn't prove you were ;)
  4. My mate told me this a while back... I completely forgot to tell him to stfu - until now!! :)
  5. you clicked his signature pic ;)
  6. saw it the other night... thought it was brilliant... especially since I'd never heard of it - and it was my girlfriend who suggested it, so I was prepared for shite!! haha
  7. Cheers fellas - gotta admit I always had it in my head that the OS Giken was much more expensive... the exedy is v. tempting too... might see what the old credit card balances are looking like!! Kirbz - this is your old silver zed... I got the shell from you nearly a year ago!! Will swing by some time when it's run in & see what ya think!!
  8. Ok, I'm almost at the point of having to make a decision on a clutch... not least cos I'm gonna have to get the money together for it! I've gone with Greddy 16g's (and a rebuilt engine etc etc) & am looking to be making 500+ bhp, with maybe the potential to go a bit further in the future... so, what clutches can people recommend?? Obviously RPS are the clutch of choice, will they handle the power/ torque?? Anyone got any experience of Carbonetics? OS Gikken also seem to have a good rep too.. Not got a budget in mind (as is apparent from the above!) but I want to get it right first time! The car's a play thing - trackdays and weekends only, so not TOO bothered about a clutch which doesn't like traffic, but not entirely sure I want to go with an on-off paddle clutch. Thanks for looking! Rich
  9. be careful - the ebay link's for a Z31 (the right one's are in the shop though!)
  10. It's really easy to remove the balance bar - just 4 bolts holding it on... vaccum pipes just slide off. It would be worth doing this just to swap coilpacks round to eliminate a dead one & to check the condition of the spark plug.
  11. Ah - completely mis-read that one...! Cool - that certainly won't be a problem!!
  12. Hmmm... didn't know that! So what if you've got new rings and new cams... 20 mins for the cams to harden & the bores will have glazed   Arse!
  13. I'd definitley say seals... MJP can get a rebuild kit, but think they have to come from Japan, so may not be too quick. Rich
  14. sorry dude... I nicked the idea from someone yesterday!
  15. If there's water in the footwell, it definitley points to the matrix - quite easy to bypass as a temp fix (or permanent!) - search for matrix bypass - just need a short length of coolant hose and some clips... it's a pig of a job to replace!!
  16. yeah - fractures within the plastic, stress fractures rather than actual breaks?? I put some in mine by leaving one of the bolts in (or nuts on, can't remember now!!) when trying to remove it - assume it's a common thing!!
  17. Just having a fag break at work & was thinking about pulling another engine... I'm possibly going to put a new loom in when it goes back in, and it will be a LHD loom, so will have a lot of slack in it... any thought on putting a new loom connection in the engine bay (battery's removed, so there's space there) so that if (when!!) it comes out again the engine could be lifted with the loom in place, by disconnecting here. Kind of thinking out loud tbh, may be a stupid idea!! Obviously it's need a waterproof housing of some description, but what do ya reckon??
  18. :nono: :slap: where's big kim when you need him?!?!
  19. Cheers for that - will have to wait until noone's around & sneak my lights into the kitchen!!
  20. brilliant!! what temperature did you cook 'em on?!?!? ;)
  21. i replaced my adjusters with Tamiya metal gears from a model shop... the part numbers are on here somewhere - should never break again!! They were only a few quid too...
  22. Mixed reports on venoms... you're best off getting hold of Nismos imho...
  23. I zipped-tied mine after it happened... was planning to make a sleeve to go over it, but have never got round to it... maybe one for a miserable winter night!!
