midnight prowlers
Just be careful - trespassing isn't a criminal offence unless there's intent to commit a crime (even though common sense says there usually will be!) so you could leave yourself open to, at least, civil prosecution if someone mutilated themselves because of a home made deterrent... e.g. "my son kicked a ball over the fence, I went to retrieve it and ended up with 20 8" nails embedded in me"... Ridiculous, but bear it in mind! There was a haulage company up here who got into a right mess after someone entered their yard one night and fell in to an uncovered maintenance pit - the fact the injured person was trying to rob the place was no defence... they hadn't even put any deterrents in place, although there was a health and safety issue (typical!!)

madmarco had a bad day
Gutted! Doesn't look too bad - but difficult to tell from the pics. Wheel on my old Zed was at an amazing angle after I went into a steel post, but I got it sorted in the end - hopefully will be an easy fix for you too! If the steering rack's damaged, I have one which I bought from Andy@supercar parts but never got round to fitting... Rich

idle problemo
on thhe top of the upper water pipe on front of the engine - can't remember which side now, but it's the yellow one - the other is for the fan, if you follow the cable it's obvious which is which...

idle problemo
Idle can be caused by lots of things - do a search and you'll get step by step instructions: you need to clean all the electrical connections, make sure throttle position sensor is set correctly, clean/ replace engine temp sensor and it will more than likely be fixed... Fuel smell is common problem - just hunt round the engine and tighten every jubilee clip you can see on the fuel lines... if you're struggling, you can sprinkle some talc on them and then it'll be obvious where the fuel's coming from. Small probs but annoying.
If the text is backwards, someone's put the plastic strip in back to front... if you take it apart and put it in right, there'll be no bulb behind the Cruise Con section so it won't illuminate anymore... search remove speedo for links (very easy to do - few screws, and some electrical connectors to remove) hth Rich

Knock Sensor Fitting!
I would bypass it until your engine has to come out... loads of info on here, but it only works up to c. 3000 rpm. Big labour costs to do & I wouldn't trust the garage to do it if they need you too tell them how!!

very poor service
Phone your card company & demand the money be credited back to your account - you can forward their emails as evidence that you are entitled to your money back... under UK law, your card issuer is jointly responsible (with the merchant) for the transaction - so if you wished to do so, you are entitled to sue your card issuer and the merchant jointly to re-coup your money... in my experience (work, not getting money back for myself!) the bank will 99% of the time give you your money back immediately then let the merchant argue if they believe it's unfair. hth Rich

Good Quality socket set
depends how much you're going to use it... I've got 2 Halfords sets (1/2 inch drive and 3/8) and they're pretty good... not used every day, but can't complain for the money. Lifetime guarantee (excluding ratchet mechanism - but they're not expensive anyway)...
-
what have i done
check all the coil pack connectors are seated properly - very easy to disturb them. Chances are the clips are broken on them, so they're not particularly secure...

RobH and I have plumped for NisTune NisTune Website which is supposed to be a good alternative & leaves a consult port free... not going to be using it for a while to comment on it, but may be worth looking at. Rich
