  1. Greddy do some... got one on mine, but I don't think you'll get one from where mine came from!! Wouldn;t go as far as saying indestructible though - if something seizes, it's gonna get ripped to shreds! Prob worth it when you're upping the boost or going for big power, but it's only a stronger belt - nothing else... Maybe try danny at DTA - he imports a lot of stuff from the states, or you could try Z1, CZP etc yourself... Rich
  2. some of those links have to be hoaxes,,, i hope 1303 is at least!
  3. noooooooooooooooooooooooooo! haha, i think i'm gonna have nightmares!!
  4. yeah, go on - i'll bleach my eyes afterwards!!
  5. haha, and i thought it was urban myth!! part of me wants to see the video... part of me doesn't!!!
  6. omfg! really? on a film, please tell me you've not watched someone in real life!!!
  7. that is just wrong...! it's a good job i cant put face to your name!!! :D
  8. try rotating the crank slightly... it's possible one cylinder is on overlap so you'll lose pressure through the exhaust valve...
  9. i played it for hours last night... some of the cleverest machines on there are the ones which break to complete the task - when I first saw one, i thought it was never going to work, then a link snaps and it catapults through the air!
  10. arghhhhh - i was plannin on catching up on some work tonight!! stuck on mission to mars now!!!
  11. nope - that's what the honda system does though.
  12. Hicas doesn't aid low speed manouevres - only high speed... you can short the power steering fluid sensor to lock the hicas... thing is, most hicas problems are because the arms & bushes are shot - so it's best to either fix it properly or bin it (and still replace the arms if necessary!) Rich
  13. apparently you can... http://300zx.co.uk/forums/showpost.php?p=1039006&postcount=4
  14. just realised - he doesn't mean just swapping the dial faces - the entire unit... i.e. the gubbins too!
  15. It will work - ecu only sends a pulsed signal regardless of whether the car is euro/ jap/ etc... the clock that you put in converts the signal to a dial output... I believe that you can swap the odometer over too.. but not 100%... I think AndyP posted about it a long time ago... hth Rich
  16. yes - as long as it seals the leak...
  17. don't tape it in! it shouldn't be under that much pressure... you need to find out what the cause is!!
  18. stock temp gauge? They're notorious for sitting bang in the middle until it's WAY overheated... You'd be better getting it recovered home unless you can find and fix the leak... AA/ RAC? Just not worth risking damage..
  19. Same as any other RWD car really... pretty heavy though, so best to have some help!! Oh, and welcome by the way!!
  20. You could try detailingworld - I know Peach is a member on there... it's amazing what can be done with the right compounds and a random orbit polisher! There's a few people who will do detailing work - FunkiSi had his done I believe...
  21. Yell him he's stupid to drive and to start walking:headvswal
  22. I know 2 people it's happened to - one being me!! As my dad's a retired policeman, they received a rather lengthy letter to that effect... result: "after reviewing the contents of your letter, it has been decided that no further action will be taken in this instance" My missus also works for a central payments unit - and we have lots of arguments about it - you wouldn't believe how slack some of the regulations are followed! They operate on the basis of try to collect fine, if any representations are made it is passed on for review...
  23. Well you probably will hear - and have to send them a polite notice pointing out that you haven't been notified within 14 days... assuming your DVLA records are correct: if not, the police can issue NIP outside of 14 days to allow a reasonable time to trace you...
  24. you'll be able to re-wire it to stop the drain... probably just a problem with it powering from the permanent live instead of switched live...
