  1. That's why I tagged this thread, looks like Rodders25 broke it and scrapped the shell. Real shame as it was a good one but I think he had the hard to get to coolant hoses behind the engine go and a nightmare getting it sorted. Have you got the same car still? I'm not sure if I can find it but I've got the 300zx yellow book at home somewhere still needing a good home. I can't pm for some reason so I've passed my email via Craig to send to you.

  3. Haha hello Si, hope you're well mate :) I work with Craig now and was just wondering if my old car was still about, I didn't even remember commenting on this thread!
  4. Wow! bumped from 8 years ago!! This was such a funny thread. So much has happened in that time it's nuts. It took me 6 years to amass enough car debt that I had to stop, and another 3 years to pay it back again!! The Zed is still one of the most enjoyable road cars I've owned, well the ones that worked anyhow. Always nice to come on to old forums and see some of the original faces :)
  5. Haha probably still the best all round road car I ever had :) My current road car is a 4.5l v8 Bimmer which is pretty awesome, but I can't take the roof off so the Zed still gets the No1 spot!
  6. Nice one, glad you're sorted mate :) I'm looking forward to some more Penwith sometime soon.
  7. Just read back the bit about saving your alloys and your sizes etc. Thats those Redruth granite curb-stones for you Jon :D I honestly think you'd be much better with 265 maximum, it must be a really wooly drive with so much extra rubber on the back? 265 will make it drive a lot more precise. I run 235 on 10J on the track car.
  8. Hey Jon. Why are running 285s on there mate? I'd certainly go down to 265s at least judging by the photos. That would probably fix the problem without needed to do anything more drastic. (sorry if it's already been discussed on the thread?)
  9. I had the driftworks ones on my skyline and would definately recommend them (same ones on Z32).
  10. Just get yourself to Santa Pod with your car and some spare wheels and tyres. 300zxTT arn't the most practical of cars because most of them have heating issues if they havn't been rebuilt but if you're confident its ok then they do the job. By far the most practical thing is to get a £500 bmw or s13 that you're not afraid of smashing up. I havn't been helping instruct at SantaPod since moving house but Lex and the boys always have free instruction available. Seat time is the key, it takes loads of practice.
  11. Because it was haha, needs a stronger ARB really but I've also lifted the front since to get the weight to the back quicker for some more drive.
  12. Yes, shouldn't be an issue. Lots of us will be.
