Hi Guys,

I am looking to upgrade from a 200sx to a 300zx, but i would like to check a few stupid things first.

In a 2+2 do the seats fold down (I need to be able to fit my surfboard)?

Can a tow bar be fitted? (I need to be able to stick a bike rack on it)

I know I should probably do what my girlfriend says and get a diesel estate, but no-one with a slow car is ever really happy!

Cheers,

Barney

Yes, we have surfers on here and they fit their boards in the car with the seats down, and you can fit a tow bar, in fact I think someone is selling a custom tow bar for a 300zx on here now.

Seats do fold, and you can get a tow bar. There was even a roof-rack on the options list to complete the 'grandad look'!! I think someone was actually selling a tow bar the other day actually!

anyway, i'll make way for the barrage of abuse now

A tow bar

Sorry for that, but REALLY!!!!!!!!!! Why would you need a tow bar for a bike rack? Sorry i just don't get it, now the socket I can understand for a secondary number plate/light board.

Anyway, as for the roof rack......

Might still be possible to obtain one of these, maybe Danny at DTA (UK) can help out with his Japanese contacts!

That was quick, and less abuse than I expected!

Need a tow bar because I have a downhill bike that weighs a ton and doesnt have quick release wheels - easiest way to carry it is a tow bar mounted rack.

Cheers

I can just see it now

Zed and trailer doing 160mph down to cornwall for the surf

Not very often people get abuse here.............. well OK, not all that often anyway ;)

You can get tow bars where the end is detachable too - so most of the time it looks like there's no tow bar.

christ if you join this club i think its in the club ruiles you have to accept abuse as standard.

personaly i just sling the board in the car and forego teh passenger.

you can get ones that are made for hatch backs, not sure if they would fit the zed but would look much better than a toebar

No idea how big surfboards are, but my 8'10" kayak just fits in the car, so as long as it's shorter than that you should be fine. :)

If not, you could always take a t-top out and stick it out of the roof.
