  1. Oil in the pipework isnt indicative the turbo is failing.
  2. I really cant see that happening Chris,If the Japanese for reasons unknown didnt re issue the same vin taking into account it was made and first registered there, how can the DVLA when all they have are papers passed on from a non EU Country. It has to be taken for an MOT and they will enter the visible vin number only on the vehicle. In theory you can get a test on it now.It does not have to be registered or have number plates to take it.
  3. Rather than waste money trying to chase problems, these guys will diagnose the issue properly. If its £100 which i believe it is,will work out way way cheaper than swapping wheels, bushes ect
  4. James,a customer of mine took his car to vibrationfree in Bicester so not far from you,They can analyse the whole drivetrain,He had his wheels balanced 3 times to no avail. They did them on the car and installed sensors under the car and ran it up,added 1 washer to a prop bolt, problem solved !!.£100 they charged him and his car is as smooth as silk now.
  5. You are aware Chris the auction sheet clearly shows the vin number was incorrect as it does not start with GCZ32,Im amazed how that slipped through the net if im honest.
  6. My advice is do not let the pedal go to the floor, put some wood under it,its common for cylinders to flip the seals if they travel too far.
  7. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ yup,will be misfire for sure
  8. I do indeed.Pm me
  9. Yorkshire well brewed !!
  10. Was a pleasure Russ, nice to meet you chap, and glad i could help you with the Audi.Hope to see you again at a meet in the future
  11. Yes its the radiator in front of the radiator, its for cooling the gas, check between the fins for bugs ect and other debris. If air doesnt flow through it the cooling action is lost.
  12. Was somebody looking for stock exhaust tips somewhere on here last week ?
  13. That is really impressive top fix there chap
  14. Any cars i get re gassed i add mineral pag oil directly into the pump, check your condensor is clean also,if its clogged gas pressures will go sky high
  15. How the hell did you get the ac pipes to undo !! seems all the cars i get in they are seized and strip the threads off even with heat !! Be having you down to do all mine soon, nice job by the way fella
  16. Simon id be proud mate to have produced that,You should pursue that when you can as you have talent :punk:
  17. I agree, those sills will be right back to the inners,Its possible the subframe mountings will need replacing also where the 2 14mm bolts attach.Repairable but to keep the cars value it cant be a plate over and underseal it up to the door handles type of affair !! Id value that car at £1500 tops.the welding and possible engine fault will be costly, the guy is clearly chancing his arm with that one.Whatever his quotes were on a car like that you could double them easily with hidden nasties.
  18. Pleasure as always Dave, see you soon for the mot
  19. 22. I keep these in stock all the time along with idler pulleys belts ect,see youve sorted it now though.
  23. most likely a leaking temp switch as its a uk gearbox.Doesnt look to serious if im honest.Check the level and monitor it.
  24. Ive fitted plenty of poly bushes to tension rods no issues whatsover, the rose jointed bushes are lightly to fail eventually as they are meant for track use.
  25. I agree Si,see only a handful a year at my place, lwb numbers far outway the swb model
