They never fill right to the top or will stay full either.The level always sits a couple of inches down on them.

Is this a standard radiator or aftermarket ?

Go and buy a new oil can,Get some windscreen washer clear pipe and back bleed the system squirting fluid back into the sytem.It will save loads of pumping.

Wish you had asked Lee,I have a new fork,carrier and Bearing on the shelf.The IAT sensor Joel can not go on the plenum because of heat soak.

You do not have to use 2 sensors but it's best. The VG will have a leaner bank usually the passenger side as the fuel feeds in from the drivers side so it can be fitted that side and tuned from that. And no you can not use the factory sensor positioning it has to be test pipe or the sensors will fail prematurely

Normally i relish the arrival of fresh JDM cars.This car was not a welcoming site.It is nigh on rust free and clean underneath which is a huge bonus given all the negaitives it has.The paint is woeful to say the least.It was Silver once and for whatever reason the owner has decided to have a go himself at a respray,No bodyshop could turn out a finish that bad.Its dry with an eggshell finish and has sags everywhere.No attempt at masking has been made at all so all the window strips were white underneath then hand painted back to black.The mileage is hugely questionable also going by the state of the drivers seat,the steering wheel and the gear knob which is minus the leather cover.The cooling system was in a terrible state with corroded pipes and leaks everywhere and not a hint of history regarding a 60k cambelt service etc and all for the asking price of 6k which is way beyond its true value.

Well i assure you Gary i will be putting him straight on a few prices.As for doing his own research,its like asking an old lady to know the value of her dead husbands old Mk2 Cortina with 25k on the clock ....Hes a newb and people know it.

I cant help but feel Deegan has been taken advantage of after reading this thread.I have been speaking with him and to say he is getting low balled is an understatement.Whoever told him a Mongose exhaust is worth £250 now is on cloud cuckoo.

Its a minefield Andrew i know but a 1990 car would never have had HID lamps fitted.Take a look at vosa,s new MOT draft for this year.The rules are pretty clear as much as it grates me also.

That Lee could possibly work.Quicker than removing for test i reckon.

Has anybody come across the new rules starting in May this year, aftermarket HID lamps will be a rejection in a lamp not designed too run them originally.Bit of a PITA if your testers cute and knows they should not be fitted and fails the car.

That will almost certainly be the short water hose feeding the passenger side turbo.It can be changed from underneath but its a proper fiddle.It sits directly above the bellhousing and is more accesible with the gearbox removed.I use an 8mm id silicone hose for repairs like these.It does not have to be braided either.

Ash is an amazing designer of high end zed parts,but thats where it ends.Having dealt with him previously,pinning him down for date of despatch is like trying to nail Blancmange too a ceiling.
