  1. The best way to remove the rubber bushes is set fire to them using a plumbers blow lamp,Push the centres out after then hack saw through the remaining sleeve.
  2. The rod you have bought is generic and probably fits another Nissan model also.If it has enough thread then cut some of the excess off it is not dangerous to do so.
  3. Happy to help Chris,it has worked many a time for me in the past.
  4. Chris you need to kick that clutch pedal like a ginger step son,It will knock the air back to the resovoir quicker. If you still have a small amount of air, a piece of wood holding the pedal down overnight works well.
  5. No Anti Freeze again,I remember the coolant in the lwb it was horrific !
  6. I always found Skoda seats woeful. After all its based on a more expensive platform but cheaper so costs have been cut. After a 200 mile drive i could barely stand up my back was so bad !
  7. Look at that battery tray ,Have pie n chips off of that :thumbup1:
  8. Its those little touches Gary that make all the difference i find.Bit of a clean, some satin black on brackets etc :thumbup1:
  9. It fits like a welly in a shoe box Lee ! it looks perched and wont sit flush with the boot edges,And in order to reinstate the 2 trims that clip on the boot lip you have to leave a gap by setting it further back, then the spoiler sits to far back it hangs over on the rear so the line that flows from the rear lamps into the spoiler ends up a step.
  10. A braided line is readily available to replace that,However it may have cost you a master cylinder also.Cylinder bores wear over time and a lip can form inside. The loss of fluid causes the cylinder rubbers to travel past the lip which can flip them rendering it useless. If the fluid rises in the master when its pressed rather than drops its quite ightly its toast i am afraid Chris.Give it a try first and dont be too quick to write off the master when you struggle to bleed the system,And believe me you will it can be a pig !!! I use an Oil can thats soley been used for Brake fluid and back bleed the system from the slave pumping the fluid back through the system with the bleed points open. You will still have to bleed it the conventional way after but it gets the system filled quicker.
  11. Just as a suggestion ,Conceptua on ebay who are Devon based sell KYB OEM equivalants at a keen price
  12. That looks purple like its had heavy duty shock proof oil used
  13. Z1 Richard sell an OEM Maf for $248 the list price is $448 so it is uber cheap.
  14. Easy enough fix with a helicoil kit which is readily available.
  15. Richard, its a fine art polishing a car correctly. Before letting rip on that new paint perhaps buy a used bonnet from a car breakers yard and practice on that first.Watch some tutorials on Youtube and see how you get on.Orbitals are a lot safer but you still need to be careful on swage lines or edges.Or even ask Craig he has a green and blue zed with paint you could not possibly make worse
  16. Do not get the Japspeed system Richard,All the ones i see are rotten.Made from old toasters and kettles no doubt.Very inferior stainless of the lowest grade possible. That UK zed is worthy of a far more superior exhaust in my opinion :cool2:
  17. Indeed they are Trev
  18. Well i had a customer order a twinz bumper from CZP in Feb last year,It arrived in November,Covered in cracks with yellow crayon around the damage so they knew it was broken before sending it.I would say each are as bad as each other from my own experience.
  19. I have an NA engine available if you want to do a swap ?
  20. I call it the radiator support panel.A new one is still available. It will involve removing the AC Condensor and drier cannister which can be tricky as the unions can seize badly and removal may cost you dearly in replacement AC parts.
  21. The usual trick is using the wire for cutting out windscreens and sawing through the sealer
  22. This would point to a faulty BMC.A caliper seizure would not cause excessisve pedal movement, quite the opposite in fact as less fluid is required if all the pistons do not move.
  23. I would advise an "Italian" tune up to clear out any residue. It will need 100 miles plus to clear it out successfully. If the smoke persists on overrun its 100% leak down time then i am afraid.
