  1. No afraid not as its all down to parts, aftermarket never covered them over here anyway at least, bearings gaskets are all available but sliding sleeves ive not seen or gears which incorporate the cone also adding more expense if needed or even if they are available.
  2. That kit ,baulk rings and no sliding sleeves pretty pointless really,be mad to do one without the other. But they will add to the cost considerably id imagine
  3. and they are .............. ha ha i wont spoil the quiz
  4. And the bonus is the rps flywheel can be repaired, new faces are available as a kit around 100 dollars, tbh i dont like Fidanza the faces warp as its a solid bolt on plate that cant expand and contract like the segmented RPS,And you dont need a puck clutch Si a full face will cope fine with your power levels.
  5. Mine are 8 years old now no problems at all,Ive fitted plenty and never had a set fail ever.I know early ones had complaints but that was years ago.I speak to Greg on a regular basis, and the reason he wont map with them is because he finds the idle harder to tune due to the coils used in them, his words not mine.Maybe he came across an early set at some stage who knows. And if those injectors have been sat about that wont help, any injectors set aside for long periods need cleaning before use,Even after cleaning and flow testing its advised to use them within 6 weeks.
  6. The manual is quite clear and reads as follows - A silencer in such condition, or of such a type, that the noise emitted from the vehicle is clearly unreasonably above the level expected from a similar vehicle with a standard silencer in average condition It may seem a grey area but if you read the wording its pretty clear to me to to pass something that sounds like a vulcan on take off is a no,If VOSA rock up to QC the car.Youd get points for passing it .No mention of excessive.I sat the course 8 years ago and Vosa dont like grey areas as far as testing is concerned. If in doubt pass and advise but if a vehicle is clearly way louder how would you argue that ?
  7. It is a tough one, dangling cat overheat sensor wires are quite a give away and loads of cars have this,or the aiv pipes still present appearing from behind the arch liner. Its a gamble these days.Exhausts are another problem,if its louder than another model with a standard system in good condition its supposed to fail also !
  8. word on the street is new laws came in this year regarding cats and dpfs,im told if a cat/dpf was once fitted and its been removed it should fail
  9. Great minds Stephen and all that
  10. Looks like a failed turbo to me never mind the pcv valve.
  11. The Sub fan will be the culprit, its the electric fan in front of the ac condensor to cool the gas temp but its also used as an emergency fan if the ecu can not see an engine temp.It is controlled by the ecu temp switch located on the top water pipe next to the dash gauge sender which is (1 wire) only. Its the yellow plug with 2 wires, check its secure and the terminals are making a good connection. If it was the viscous locked in bits of cardboard will not stop it nor your fingers either !
  12. Well done James,Those guys really know there stuff at Vibration Free,I had a customer go there and he gave them the thumbs up also after.
  13. How rusty is youre arch ? id only change whats actually rusted as youll never get a better job than Nissan did, fitting a whole arch for 4" of rust is overkill.Trial fit your section over the top and use it like a stencil then cut away below the line on the car, youll need a joggler to step the bodywork where it attaches.Once your happy with the fit secure the section in with self tapping screws to hold it before spot welding,Do not spot continously or the heat will build up and warp the panel.Spots every say 3-4mm are fine to hold it securely.
  14. As the twinz rear is fibreglass Howard im sure it can be modified and blended to fit,the diffuser will look good too.
  15. Ive seen this many times and its poor installation 9 times out of 10,All the deletes are not necessary to fit them,ASH SPEC massives fit fine,Z1 and Bells fit better with custom brackets but these are huge smics.
  16. d22 and d40 engines are made of cheese literally,Nissan did no favours for themselves with them,80k and the bottom end melts or the chain shits itself !
  17. Just measure on the car, front of the diff flange to just inside of the shroud around the output seal.iirc is 1225mm,then have the prop made so from the front face behind the input sleeve that goes into the box too the rear flange measures 1225mm,check that measurement but i think youll find its right for a lwb
  18. Still Nissan underneath Bri,worked on a few of the Renault,Nissan versions ,mainly engine rebuilds the d40 engine was utter shash, clutch was a piece of piss though Lol
  19. Yup i agree,at least then it will actually be stainless, those Japspeed exhausts are low grade and corrode eventually
  20. Yes see what your saying but do we a few guys on a car forum know better than Nissan who made and designed it as it was ? :smartass:
  21. Im not sold on the poorly located point about PTU,s Steve,i always think its behind a whacking great fan for a reason and Nissan had many other locations they could have used but chose the one they did to gain the most cooling.
  22. correct fella, any boost leak will upset the balance of the breather system and pull oil through the intake.
  23. So what was the point your trying to make then ? about your Surfs original turbo and other cars with oil in the intake system ?
  24. Most aftermarket parts are nowhere near as good as the original, brake discs & exhausts are classic examples.Buy a new car the exhaust will last 10 years maybe, yet any replacement 3 years and its rotten !
