  1. Was that a boat anchor at some point ?
  2. Why were the head gaskets done ? If it has been boiled at some point it is highly probable the bores are glazed. Those figures are not good and will not help it start if they are actually correct. If you can get it running they may come up slightly. You will need a really good battery to crank that fast enough and get it started.Have you checked each injector actually works ? I change loads these days that have gone bad,They do not like being laid up for years and that may be the problem.
  3. I am going to get my popcorn ready for that epsiode ?
  4. TDI North had 300zx ACL Shells on the shelf recently Lee
  5. Hi Andrew,I am currently speaking with the owner and will encourage him in joining and making himself and the car known if i can.
  6. This is one for Andrew Glenn,I have been made aware of an Aug 94 registered White Uk Automatic,The VIN ends in 1113 so made before L7 but still quite possibly the last sold car maybe ? It has undergone a restoration and looks stunning now.
  7. Hi Bredders,Congrats on the purchase fella,Have you somebody in mind for the restoration work ? That is beyond most body shops these days they will run a mile when they see that.I have a guy in Bristol who does all my 300zx welding repairs for me who is very good.
  8. Hi Chap,I have never actually bought a new one in all my years.
  9. What clinches this for me is the fact those modern coil packs are cheaply available new,Why,Because they fail quite simply. It is a down grade in my opinion.Another example of OEM being best for most situations.
  10. That Andrew belongs to a lovely gent named Ray Passmore. It is very clean and straight and a good buy for somebody.
  11. Or you can buy Gates Barricade for a 3rd of the price and get some Mikalor 14mm Spring clamp Clips from Ebay like i do.
  12. Is the speedo converted using a chip on the back of the clocks ? I always start with these and bridge them out by re joining the signal wires,Usually a green and yellow.Try this and see if the issue stops. If it does you have found the problem. The box sender units are pretty reliable in all honesty. The clocks are not so but start with the converter chip first.
  13. Check the ambient temp sensor wiring behind the bumper.
  14. I always find with the bypass on the ecu done and full voltage at the pump the cars have a tendency in being over rich at idle,The adjustable reg is a good way of controlling this. That is the main reason i use adjustable set ups.The stock regulators are pretty good otherwise for decent power levels.
  15. Hi Lee,The crank is very hard and i would be amazed if the corrosion has bitten in yet.Grab a roll of 180 grit emery and polish it at home then coat it with oil to stop it rusting again.
  16. They are Border Wings so uber rare,How they are steep i do not know ? Would you go into watch shop and tell them you can buy a "Rolex" on a Turkish beach for £20 ??
  17. Wrong grade of Oil and Castrol is not what it was it seems.I know of several owners of performance cars who have gone away from it over noises from lifters..It should be a 10/40 grade in the 300zx
  18. Looks like mild steel welding on stainless tubing.God knows why places do that.
  19. It is most lightly a bad Mass Air flow Meter,Or an air leak somewhere.Unplug the MAF and see how it runs after.
  20. Hi Salli,It is usually the wire where it earths onto the bulb holder. You can post it down if you like and i will fix it for you and get it sent back up.
  21. It comes as a kit Chris to treat any areas and seal them off. When my windscreen cracked i found surface rust in the aperture from a previous bad install. I used the Rustbuster Kit and i was very impressed with the finish and durability.
  22. Happy days Andrew finding those. That is a huge bonus.
  23. For standard KYB,S (non adjustables) Conceptua Tuning in Devon keep them in stock.
  24. I would buy an epoxy kit from Rust Buster. It can be brushed or sprayed on and is as tough as old boots and looks like paint once applied. They do a range of colours also iirc.
