After going awol for months now im sorry to say to you all ive done the decent thing and re subbed.saw they ran out whilst i was on my holibobs last year,came back and been doing some long days ever since and just never got off my arse to sort this,those that missed me sorry guys,those that didnt sorry too because im back :2guns:

  3. Wheres the rest of the leak tester,should have 2 chambers with fluid not one ? comp tests are pointless with headgaskets fails unless its blown so bad its gone between two cylinders.If you dont bring it on boost does it behave longer Steve ?
  4. why do you think they are faulty Neil ? if you unplug them a rattling noise will be audible.Unplug them and drive it youll know if they are working,the car will feel very flat.
  5. Mine has ported heads,ams manifolds and divorced downpipes,555 injectors,gt525 turbos and currently hits 480fwhp but Noel assures me it can do more.
  6. A longer bolt works wonders Steve,sorted many like this,quite few mm of thread in there the stock bolt wont reach.

  8. if the exhaust is pluming white smoke the diagnosis isnt good,get a block tester and do a test.
  9. I have known a cars diff to lock up.it would make it a pisser to move when turning.
  10. If yer not feeling flush z1 sell brand new cores for the turbos which you can change yourself.
  11. electrical faults are not common with the autobox.more than lightly the box itself if im honest.Autos are rare now and most are at the end of their life.
  12. Bigh on here has a decent engine for sale,usually youll find the furthest bearing away or near as dam it is the first to fail.

  14. REmove the clip that locates the actuator arm and push it up it makes access easier to the top filter tree bolt.

  16. Your in France fella,as long as its not Paris i wouldnt lock it anyhow.
  17. A spun bearing without knock would be impossible.Its the tolerance that holds it in place,once thats gone youll have clearance which would give the knocking sound.
  18. Bolts are re useable but i have had some stretch when torqued.But its very rare.Make sure the bolt threads are good are there is no tapering of the bolt after the shoulder.

  20. check the aircon drain is conected,short rubber hose above the ecu.If not any condensation from the ac runs into the footwell.

  22. He said it winds over really fast Mark,which usually indicates compression loss in my experience,hopefully its not what it sounds like but after he said hes had other belt issues....
  23. Turning over quickly doesnt sound good.Put the car in gear remove the oil filler cap and push the car gently,see if the cam moves.
