  1. its up to you personally, but why not give it a freshen up,new bearings, stock or forged pistons your choice,i know what mine is,get the heads re furbed ie valves re cut into the seats and you have faith then should you choose to get it mapped.Maybe it can be mapped to a milliion horsepower whatever but on an engine 20 years old who would want to......its all ok until it goes wrong.Im not saying it will but flip a coin in the air and see how it lands.
  2. most of those mods are not power specific however id hope to see around 520 fwhp,if you had larger ic piping and cams maybe more, the ported heads will help but the intercooler piping will restrict airflow.
  3. insurance is such a pain when you mention mods,i could half my traders policy if i was dishonest but its not worth it if it goes wrong, always best to declare anything youve done imho. When ive shopped around and say imports and engine mods watch em run for the hills, its crazy as i have over 12 years no claims and probaly do less than 100 miles a year in other peoples modified cars !!
  4. universal rubber boot kits are available Joel, alot cheaper than a new joint.
  5. In my experience with these engines its usually a sign of broken piston ring lands, under normal load they are will appear ok but as soon as you bring the car on boost youll get a smoke screen out the exhausts. Its worth doing a compression or leak down test first.
  6. goes north so i guess so Bri
  7. If your in any doubt buy a new one,an old pump if worn will flow less.
  8. Lol i know Bri,B & Q sell them.They fit really well honest.
  9. walking stick ends fit a treat serious. My old man used a pair on his first zed.
  10. A guy called Asrif called me last week he has bought it,it does have engine problems he said and needs some work doing.

  13. Thats been run when flat, when the tyre breaks up and leaves bits inside its a sure sign.oh and you wear gloves alot too Jeff those hands are very clean Lol
  14. No Probs,i had a word with Russell about his sales team.
  15. The collars lock from underneath and above by clamping the frame in place, they wont raise your the car Steve. Its the option i would go with everytime.
  16. Just fit collars its the cheapest and best way.no more worries about leaks and a more stable rear end.
  17. Hi mark and welcome, was that car on e bay per chance ?
  18. Cant say ive had problems tbh, dealt with them for over 5 years now.THey are busy i know that but usually if i ping them i get a reply next day,ive Mailed Russell the owner to make him aware if it helps.
  19. My box cost 4k 5 years ago which sounds mental from Snap on but its lasted really well and the quality is excellent.I agree totally its better to have a second hand Snap on than a new other make of box.At least with Snap on the draw runners locks etc can be bought if they fail.
  20. Aftermarkets are imperial mate 9/16 is the correct size.14mm doesnt fit to clever.
  21. Id say a crows foot tbh or similar.i have one that may do it,either that or an offset spanner.can post them down bud if you wish ?
  22. I love the 80s group b cars, the Audi especially,it was insane for its time.Wish id seen one in the flesh, saw 6r4s,RS200S But never an Audi.Awesome car.
  23. I know of a black lwb that has a rebuilt engine that i did several years ago with forged pistons, new turbos, nismo injectors,it will make 450 ish when mapped, its only done 5000 miles since if that.
