  1. Ive had an fmic for years now, done several dyno runs where air flow can be lacking, had it dyno tuned in summer and the temp stays constant,i could leave it idling for hours with no issues.
  2. Tesco super is good stuff,in tests it gave the most consistant results and kept its octane rating longer than V Power.
  3. I always liked TD years ago but of late the service they give is shocking, the left hand is literally unawhere of the existance of the right there not what its doing, the guys that answer the phone sound about ten years old and "have to just go and check" anything you ask constantly,Place is a Monkey Temple and to be avoided. They made a right balls up of Jaffas turbo replacement, housings clocked wrong, the actuators they fitted were inferior after they refused to reuse the existing ones. Not a place id use now.
  4. a very good point mate and usually its the inners but the tester has failed the outers, seen this several times on front tie rods on steering racks and its play was blamed on the outer balljoint.
  5. Just a quick mention that the tensioner plunger is out way more than specified.Thats a huge gap,it should be around 3-5 mm.It needs retensioning.
  6. That black colour looks nicer than the car,id spray the rest of the car to match it
  7. 3 hours in the week, leave at a sensible time way less bud.im in Bristol just north of somerset,i used to regularly go to Dunstable in a focus diesel in an hour and a half !!
  8. If its a similar set up to the Navara a pivot arm from the cable seizes on the back of the brake drum, salt water will kill that quick, get someone to work the handbrake and look underneath.
  9. I do like your wheels Baz but prefer it as it was, much sexier imho.Thats a clean zed, arch another and give it a track look :thumbup1:
  10. How do people do that Jeff ? the belt has lines on it so really you cant go wrong .Cambelts still baffle many mechanics.I still remember doing my first CVH Lol and being scared shitless.
  11. Once the brake pipe starts to round you can spray the bee jesus out of it and it aint budging, its mole grip time im afraid mate.To get a new pipe made wont cost much.
  12. Because it looks hilarious !!what was the owner thinking for god sake jesus,if you buy it budget for a re spray please.
  13. Ryan an as needed basis means i let somebody else down whos expecting me to concentrate on their car and thats not on.A text the day before isnt enough notice im afraid matey.i cant work like that.
  14.:whistling::lol: a two poster bud and ran a dream after i think mmmm yeah im sure they did Lol.

  16. Yeah point taken but the girl in the second picture wont nag, wont take ages to get ready, wont pic holes in everything you do and could suck start a leaf blower lmfao.
  17. jesus my arms are bigger than your legs, sand kicked in yer face anyone !! you need a good meal Marty lmfao.
  18. I agree Ian also silcone sealer is a a great exhaust gasket replacement if you dont have the gaskets.it is wonderful stuff.
  19. never heard of this and never needed to either ??? what a bizarre suggestion.
  20. Any body that has time for that cant have a hard enough day job and has way to much energy.i just dont understand why ?? imho, has anybody ever lived longer or proved it improves life ! each to their own but some people have way to much time to kill.
  21. They are standard exhaust gaskets available from motor factors, kwik shit etc.
  22. Its a GT car not a sports car !! the air con uses about 5 hp if that, ive got nigh on 500 so do you really think id notice it not being on ffs, under hard acceleration the clutch gets dis engaged anyway. How much power do you think driving with the window down saps then when your car is like a parachute ? unless your tracking the car seriously i cant see any point in removing it.
  23. It never gets hot enough in Nottingham to warrant air con Lol,us southerners like it though.I kept mine as i dont bode well in high temperatures and sweat like a scouser in a spelling test !
  24. Run the heater on the car, this activates the ficd valve which raises the idle speed.if the smoke stops its a good sign yer tubs are passing oil. This usually works,it seems at idle the seals pass but at a slightly higher idle speed this seems to prevent oil passing.Ive known on numerous occasions this works.
