I had an 1981 XR3 RS1600 Lookalike many moons ago and i fitted the webber carb with an ITG filter,when the secondary opened up the noise was sexual !!

The tubs wont suffer with no water,they are designed to be water cooled but the heat they run at it would never make a difference anyhow.Ive seen quite a few zeds running with deleted water feeds and they never seemed to suffer from it.If you can get it connected but if not dont panic.

Why do you think you need mapping matey? as Jeff said a generic chip is fine in most cases unless you have some serious mods ?

Id do a compression test first,you ran 14 psi with an old engine and a set of basically t28 tubs ? That sounds like a recipie for disaster mate.Bet youve blown a piston in fact id almost say its 99.9% gone bang.

Is your car fitted with a de limiter,if they play up the speed sensitive steering fails ? look behind the clocks ans see if a box is wired in,disconnect it and see if the problem persists.

95 is usually when they changed,are the plugs oval or square ?

The scam is they send a fake email that looks like a paypal one,it will say you have funds and have recieved a payment,gullible people at this point then post or release an item to its "buyer".A friend of mine had this twice when selling an i phone.Both times the buyers email siad the funds will only actually show in his account when he posts the goods and issues a tracking number,he had already recieved the "you have funds fake paypal e mail" it was so funny,after telling one nigerian to piss off he got a scam e mail from the head of paypal with his name signed at the bottom telling him to send the phone as it had been paid for and he was had broken the paypal contract.Talk about over gilding the lilly.

Halfords sell half inch extension bars and insulation tape,i use me eyes but the latter will suffice and do just as good a job as any alignment tool.
