  1. Why do you think bleeding will fix a slipping clutch ?
  2. bin the engine mate, headgasket replacement on a cooked 20 year old engine is a recipie for disaster. It prolly has done untold damage, dont forget when it overheats the oil thins which can result in piston, ring and crank bearing failure and possible turbo problems.Get a good known engine its the best way.
  3. if you can get it an SAE 30 is best but failing that a mineral oil will suffice.
  4. Tyler will be the equivalent of Darren or Mark in years to come, its one of those names that a lot of people are using at the moment because they think it sounds "trendy" but in real life it wont be.Chelsea seemed trendy once but now i cant help think of track suits and large gold ear rings when i here it.Ollie is a classic name and timeless imho.Id go with that.
  5. tt block, crank and rods are identical to an n/a,oil pumps were changed for tt models.Other components are different also like the piston jets.hth.
  6. Block is identical, its what bolts to it and inside thats not.
  7. agreed.Mytyres are cheap as.
  8. oh is it doh !! i should have checked first Lol
  9. Came across this earlier ouch !! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-16028568
  10. U met nick, hes as queer as a bottle of chips honest :whistling::lol: tis a nice looking zed though.well almost.engine needs some attention :devil2:
  11. welcome chap, that car does not need skirts. Its looking mighty fine as it i reckon.Stance is amazing.Leave that well alone
  12. Mate your a man after my own heart,i despise labour and the hand wringing leftie morons they represent.Labour made life very comfortable for a lot of people who didnt deserve to be and created more non jobs so those people would in turn vote for them.I hated and never voted for Blair hes a cu*t and has loads to answer for.My dad voted tory and i always will cus i like to earn a few bob and keep some of it as opposed to some Labour voters who prefer to do feck all and get paid for it.These idiots striking need to see that as usual the big bad Tories as they are often seen are the ONLY party that can sort this mess and have done many times its a trend that after a Labour boom and bust economy the Tories have to step in,look at the 70s a classic case once again of socialism.Get over it folks the gravy train has stopped and im not willing to finance its ressurection !!
  13. I had to sell my kettle to finance pensions for the public sectorn LOL,bless em the poor leftie commies that they are.The pot is empty and they still want more,This strike is more about politics and the leftie unions fighting back at our current leaders, the ****s that called for these strikes are champagne socialists who will never know what not having a pension feels like.Boils my pi*s big time!!
  14. they do custom to suit your needs, deep pockets and long arms only though.
  15. Right up until the big end goes boom just like every other scoobie !! how they thought that power could be sent through a crank journal the equivalant of a motorbikes i will never know.Have you seen a scoobie crank ? its crazy its so small.Ugly car with some great attributes but made by a company that started off selling its cars to the farming market only.
  16. It depends on mapping matey and prior engine condition, but that kind of power needs some increased boost which puts extra load on the piston ring lands. Its a toughie really as it may last or may not its hard to say. There really is no set in stone figures.
  17. Wish my zed wasnt sorn or id have took you for a spin at zedworld.mines running a stock crank and rods with lightened flywheel and crank pulley, decent tubs, manifolds and some portwork, shes rather lively and gives my 285 bridgestone rear tyres a very hard time !!
  18. Unless your planning major forged internals and other mods to cope with 9000 rpm which costs loads of money ie crazy cams, large tubs and i mean large then no bud id give it a miss.Youll be spending 10k to safely need those mods !!You can create a crazy zed that will scare the pants off you without major crank work etc.A 500hp zed is more than enough i can assure you and that will need respect and careful timing for throttle application Lol.
  19. Couldnt agree more, save yer money and get a quality lightened flywheel and underdrive pulley.Youll notice the earlier spool up from the tubs after fitting these. The 300 crank is quite well balanced anyway. Not many other v6 engines rev like it does straight out the box.
  20. I always knew what they were, pants sprung to mind.Soz but they are awful.keep the wasp ones and bin those, aluminium is high at the mo at SIMS metal.
  21. The switch iirc was on the centre console below the radio. It was a parking aid as already stated and fitted from new on jdm cars.
  22. Cf bonnets are notorious for bad fitment, look at the one on the 350 u posted earlier,it fits like a welly in a shoe box, look at the lines of the wing then look at the bonnet :pinch:
  23. Id be looking at head gasket with those problems, get a sniffer test done.Sounds like under light load its ok but pressurising under boost.
  24. He did say he had a new greddy timing belt fitted but as you say Paul other components may need doing if the last place didnt do the entire package.Jeff does keep all the timing belt associated components on the shelf as he does so many .
  25. Pump replacement is quite straight forward and the timing belt doesnt need touching, just make sure any antifreeze is cleaned off it.The biggest head ache is undoing the crank pulley bolt tbh. They can be quite tight unless you have an air gun.
