Valve Springs
Its not power thats the issue its what rpm your engines revs too really,if you have wild cams and supporting mods ie lightened and balanced crank etc i would say you need them.TBH though ive seen some bad overheats where the coil packs have stuck too the cylinder heads but the valve springs didnt suffer.Has the length been measured and they are out of tolerance ?

Good Compression - Head Gasket?? Confused?
after an overheat this is common in all engines ,all the crud that has deposited lifts off and mixes with the coolant, dont condemn the engine yet,the comp test figures are good.flush the system and add new antifreeze. When you unsorn the car go for a gentle drive and see how she behaves.

Removing main ecu engine loom
Its not mate, even with the fan out its still a pig,you still cant see the bracket that holds the loom and have to grope around to get on the two 10 mm nuts, cut the loom at the bulkhead engine side it makes it easier .If you have young kids make them do it,adult arms and hands dont fit behind there very well !
