I am after some gauges for my car, turbo and oil pressure. Im not getting blitz ones even though they are good and look nice, I cant really afford to spend that much on them, so I am going for bog standard, but good, ones. Reading about the oil pressure gauges, there are 2 types, Electrical and Mechanical. Whats the difference? How do I set them up? And the turbo one too. Can I just wire them up to the sensors already on the car. Stuart

While I was changing my brake pads I found half of one of the timing belts flapping around! The belt is on the passenger side. Its the power steering/water pump belt I think can anyone confirm please. What would happen if this belt snaps? would it get me to a dealer now its just half a belt? Thanks lads P.S can anyone in the london area change these belts? ------------------ Trev 1990 300ZX TT 2+2(import) http://www.300zx.co.uk/rides/trey/

this was covered recently but i cant find the post. I had the front windows out recently to get tinted, and they worked when they were put back in as you have to line the windows up to make sure they fit back correctly. but ive noticed now that the front passenger side window doesnt open. Ive not heard a clicking, but that may be down to the bass in the car but the window wont open using either the passenger or drivers side button, yet the drivers side is fine. any solutions?

I am no closer to knowing what the noise is in my engine so Im gonna ask you lot again. Its like a ticking but louder, almost a knocking, in rythem to what tappets would sound like. It comes and goes and is only coming from one side of the engine. It really happenes at about 1500rpm. It was first noticed when I was reversing and I let the clutch in to slow down and as the revs dropped to about 1500 it could be heard and it went by the time the engine was ticking over. Most of the time its not there but every now and then I can hear it when I am stopped at traffic lights and now its starting to do it at tick over every now and then. Any one have any ideas of wha…

Techy Gurus, your advice is required: What boost are you running? What are your performance mods? How did you work out the max boost to run, did you get it tuned or just guess it based on when it started pinking? The reason I ask is that I am running 16psi as I guessed that would be ok. Before setting up the boost controller properly the boost would creep up to 1.53bar (22psi) and pinking like hell. So I am being very careful. But am I being too careful? ------------------ Z first and anything else is secondary! John Newcomb (NukeEm) www.geocities.com/jn300zxtt
