None thanks id rather have a 300zx lol.

On a serious note though, the Soarer is a fantastic car, especially the model I had. 4.0 V8 Limited. It had the lot - Satellite nav, TV, touch screen controls, digital speedo, excellent TC, 4 wheel steering, camera on rear spoiler (for reversing), reversing proximity tone, hydraulic active suspension (rare models), auto lights, superb stereo system, memory seats, electronic telescopic steering column (also part of seat memory), side heated windows, electronic folding mirrors, superb performance, etc, etc. It had all sorts of software gadgets too. Not bad for a car made in 1991.

 

Still prefer the Supra though!

Mr Churchill, so nice to hear from you again, the 'low rent Supra' thing has brought forth that typing stutter again, you should have that seen to. (the inferiority complex that is) Funny though, plastic dash, a 'stick' to prop open the bonnet, cheap jack door hinges, rattles like a tincan full of nails all this and more from your Supra.

 

 

STT, You should have tried a TT, same 'Lexus' build quality not so many frills, just masses of thrills.

I did contemplate the TT (which is quicker) but I really liked the idea of a V8 with all the gimmicks, at the time. I can be a bit of a gadget freak!

Seems to me that there are a few soarer fans "coming out" well I don't know how to tell you this lads but I have the V8 Baby!

 

I haven't give up the ghost on the 300's though, I have one coming next week.

But I have to say the Lexus/Toyota is (in my opinion) a superior car. Since I import a few Japs as a part time thing, I still have Z's( they do sell better)

But I can't sell the Soarer it seems to have everything.

1. I goes pretty well

2. If you have driven one you know it "IS" a Lexus.

3. The name

4. It Looks almost as good as a Z

5. you can get 4 adults in.

 

Now you will see in 1 & 4 that I admit the Z is better but as an allrounder.

 

I'm affraid the Soarer takes it.

 

Buy the way NOS kit is only $600 for plus 150bhp.

That should sort out number 1.

As the MKIII Supra has twin gas struts to hold open the bonnet, it was obviously through choice and not lack of innovation that it was held open by stick. Maybe it's because the bonnet on the MKIV Supra is sufficently lightweight so as not to require the over-complicated gas struts? I would not be the least bit surprised to find the struts on the Soarer share a part number with those on the MKIII - heavens! Supra parts on your Soarer! What will the neighbours think?

 

No typing stutter here, not something I usually suffer from. Then again, I'd expect you to know all about it, what with the assorted left-handed sites you're believed to frequent. Perhaps your constant cries of 'the Soarer is better than the Supra' on every BBS you can find are the result of a subconscious desire to 'let out' all those feelings of indecision and doubt when faced with that spoiler heading into the distance, and you're not actually *aware* that you're typing all this nonsense?

 

I had a good look in my car earlier, but sadly I was unable to find a rattle. Maybe the Soarer off the line in front of mine got them? Who should I go to to complain and get my fair share? I feel aggrieved at the idea that someone in the LSOC could be getting my due allocation of rattles.

 

While I was there I had a careful examination of the door hinges, and lo and behold they appear to enable the opening and closing of the doors! Shocking! I checked with a couple of other Supra owners and found their hinges *also* enable their doors to open and close. If there's something else a hinge needs to do than that I have have yet to hear about it. What is it yours do that mine do not? Perhaps I can upgrade - or perhaps not, as Toyota obviously had their reasons for not fitting more 'advanced' mechanisms when moving from the prototype (Soarer) to the finished article (Supra).

 

Agreed there is also more from my car. More power, more style, more tuning parts, more gears, more grip, more balance, more enjoyment...

The picture of the interior of the Soarer above is not the same as the interior in the one I had. Mine was full leather and the centre console was VERY impressive.

My slight dig at immigrants was aimed at the people (asylum seekers generally) that come to the UK with absolutely no intention of working, learning English, paying their way or fitting in to our society blah blah. Yet demand to be fed, housed, cared for etc. We, well the government, are fucking soft.

I believe we have enough such slack cunts in the UK as it is milking what they can out of those that do contribute. Paying taxes is an arse as it it, but far worse when you are not the one to benefit from it, or worse still have your various taxes hiked because a bunch of lazy fucks can't be bothered to work etc. Lazy cunts living in council flats owning flash cars etc.

I have a much 'flasher' interior too, but that shown is 'standard' in Japan, the Leahter option is not liked 'cos of the heat and humidity, light colours are used to keep heat absorption to a minimum.

 

My own car has an Ox Blood leather with Dark Green Alcantara inserts, Dark Green carpets with Ox Blood edging.

Mr Churchill, the 'rattle' I'm thinking of is not one you can 'look' for, (I think you threw yours out of the pram long ago, dummy (sic) too) you have to LISTEN for them. You are one funny guy.

 

I speak from experience, I have driven plenty of MKIV's and plenty of Soarers, I KNOW which is the better car, you probably haven't even sat inside a Soarer yet profess your car better, IGNORANCE IS BLISS.

 

I would offer to have a burn-off with you but as you have a 'reputation' for driving a car with more muscle than you have driving skills, I will wait till you have acquired either more skill or greater age. (the latter I feel may be in jeopardy judging by past 'performance')
