Someone posted somewhere about a book titled "Nissan 300ZX - The Enthusiast's Companion". I just got my copy yesterday and I recommend to anyone with an interest. It covers design history, technical details, racing, context with other Zs and lots of other stuff. I ordered my copy from Bookspeed who advertise in the backpages (and elsewhere, I'm sure) of Japanese Performance. And it's in a sale! Their tel is 020 8994 7054 if you're interested. I'm kinda looking for a big button that says "New Clutch" but it doesn't have one... Do you know what the parts all mean? Is this the best place to look to find a clutch to fit my Jap import? Thanks guys! -Stu

Sorry for monopolising but I think this is the last for now. I registered a bunch of domains and could give you temporary e-mail addresses on the following nissanidiot.co.uk nissanidiot.com nissanmotor.org.uk nissanmotorgb.co.uk nissansucks.co.uk nissansucks.me.uk I can't afford to do all of them (it costs £31 per domain for 2 years to activate 100 e-mails) but would be happy to do the most popular - assuming any of them are popular! I'm off again for a week so if you e-mail me, please hang on for an answer until next w/end at the earliest. Cheers - gio@nissanmotorgb.co.uk

OK so maybe I over-reacted. But that Parts charge still p***es me off. Even though there are good parts suppliers and engineers outside the Nissan franchise empire, it still riles that I can't get proper service from the local dealer. So I started a website http://www.nissanmotorgb.co.uk The forwarding should get sorted soon when the frame disappears but you can see it anyway right now. Yours - Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells

While I was seething about the damn-fool Nissan Motor GB parts charge (about which more later), I noticed that a couple of nice domains were unregistered. So I registered them www.300zxtt.co.uk and www.300zxtt.com I want one of these for my own Zed pages but would be prepared to let the other go to a fellow forum-ist. As long as it is for a good cause and not sold on for vast profit without cutting me in on it. If you want one of these, e-mail me with which one and why. Preference given to ideas which support Zeds in the UK and this forum or the Z Club. A bunch of others follow! Cheers - Gio

Hallo All, apologies in advance for a few posts about to be, er, posted. I've been away. They don't allow us anything sharp, so I've been belting some html into shape with a cheap keyboard (so don't expect anything flash). First one is at http://www.netcomuk.co.uk/~webster/gio/gioindex.html Includes new-ish pics of 3 different types of exhaust, expanded sections on turning indicators / repeaters silver, a/c fan in roof, Jeff's headlight mod and Horton (aka Slough) meet - Gio [This message has been edited by Gio (edited 19-05-2002).]

...yesterday. Whilst driving.....somewhere....can't even remember where we were going...sorry - having a blonde day - I saw one (1) black import with high level brake light and one (1) Zed convertible in what looked like metallic blue zoom past going the other way round the M25. They were going clockwise, we were going anti-clockwise. Oh and I know that no one cares but we were going to a Meggido gig in London. Remembered!

ive done about 10 thousand miles since i got my tt. after the first thousand my gearbox started to whine abit. i thaught it was the clutch release bearing. it was gettin quite noisey now so i booked it in at nissans. turns out its not the clutch its the bearings in the box. they told me its a complete box strip with all new bearings.quoted me aprox£750. i pick it up wensday. my car has done 65 thousand.is it normal for this to happen or have i been unlucky? and the price sounds reasonable considering the work involved. what do you lot think? dave

Hi, Just thought I would fill you in on the days proceedings! I thought I would try and repair a minor coolant leak in the Z before I was gonna it on the Long trip ,to Peters to get it sprayed. The leak in question is on the hose between the housing for the temp senders and the block. It is Saturday so I thought I had better get the hose to repair it before the shop closed! Take everything apart and the hose I have is too tight to fit on or too big for the spring clips to fit around it. Will have a look in Halfords Tomo see if they do anything. I have also decided to upgrade my old socket set and go for a whizzbang new one, does anyone know of decent web…
