Another piece of advice Dazzer, dont buy them online. There is a high chance of being shafted!! Tyres sold online went bust and i lost all of my S02 cash, The reason they gave was that couriers were now refusing to cart such bulky items around the country. They also import from europe which is why they r so cheap but there is the problem of getting them over here again.B warned, buying by direct mail is a bit naughty at the mo.

i reckon tyre choice is a personal thing to be honest, in the past and on other cars ive had avons, michelins , fuldas and at the moment ive got toyos, and all have been pretty good, but im sure thyeres people on here wholl go, toyos, theyre shit, just depends ive had no probs with them.

ive also had shit tyres and the difference between el cheapo ie nankang or vikings etc and decent makes is well worth the money and as tyres are your only contact between your car and the road its worth investing in a decent set, but shop around as garages will give with a bit of haggling.

again its personal choice, if u buy some then dont like em, when they wear out dont buy them again , simple live and learn.

your other option is to find the results of a test , i think which? magazine regularly does tests on tyres... in theory the winners of their tests would be the best, but again there is bound to be people who will dissagree with that and go "pah! ive had pirellies (for example), and they were shit".....

For the Z32TT the Falken FK451 seems to be a nice tyre for a nice price. They perform also good on a wet road. At least that what I've heard from several German Z32 drivers. I haven't tried these myself but will if I need new tyres again.

Worth a try...

S02.

I had Khuoms on the rear which where shit. My S02's grip better in the wet than they did in the dry.

The Falken is what i have on my car. They are a good all round tyre and are good in the wet too.Wear rate seems to be pretty good too and for a measley £75 i'm well happy and so is my wallet!!!

Here is my opinion from experience for what its worth:

Pirelli - crap wear and grip for the money.

Falken - splits in walls returned to Falken for refund after warranty replacement suffered same.

Bridgestone SO3 - the best but expensive, these replaced the SO2 which are now difficult to get hold of.

Toyo Proxes T1-S - I have these now and they are excellent. (I recently replaced the fronts and 245/35xZR18 were £165 each including fitting, valve, balance and VAT)

Will be fitting 285/35xZR18 Toyo's to the rear when the old ones wear out.
