Hi all, Ive started taking my engine out this weekend and while im at it i wanted to remove the following as i understand removal of these items are worth doing. EGR removal Plenum water bypass AIV removal Carbon cannister Is there any step by step guides for removal that i can print off i did do a quick search but was unable to find anything! Regards Dan

Hi peeps, I've got problems yet again!!! :( Just been driving, went to put my foot down and she coughed and spluttered a bit. Immediate reaction was that the air filter might be a bit wet (as it's raining) anyway got into the next town and she really started to have a very rough idle, so pulled into a petrol station forecourt. She didn't like running well at all, but didn't cut out, just very rough. Sat idleing for a while, and eventually she seemed to run fairly smoothly, pressed the accelerator and found she started to cough and splut again, also wouldn't go past 2500 revs! Also there is a bad burning smell coming from underneath, which I don't normally take any notic…

my pedal is nice n firm but after 30 mins of sideways and all on the anchor madness the pedal just hits the floor and i have to pump as if 1 of the bleed valves is open ????what could it be??????

I saw a nice green ZX in the Shell garage on the A413 near Great Missenden this morning. It may be TonyB as it looked remarkably like the one I saw in Sainsburys, Aylesbury back in September....... Richard :smw:

hello anyone no where to locate the steering angle sensor is it behind the steering wheel? does anyone have pics or a link ive lost all my pages on different pc

I have a 1990 non-turbo 300zx. A few years back I had some extractors installed and at the time of installation the EGR was removed (the extractors did not accommodate the EGR). Since then, the car has suffered some light detonation at light throttle or cruise conditions in hot ambient temperatures (more so when the aircon is on, I assume because the aircon puts an extra load on the engine). The exact same spot where the EGR is normally active. Now, I have spent the last couple of years checking everything on the car (fuel pressure, fuel flow, spark plugs, compression….. everything that can cause detonation) and everything is fine. So it seems that the detonation is cause…

can anybody tell me why there,s 2 different props for the manual is the bottom one a short wheel base

Ok, i've run out of car shampoo and just wondering what your all using on your Z'eds... I've heard Maguires gold is good but don't know how long a 473ml bottle or whatever they do would last me seeing as I wash my Z once a week! Basically I want a good quality car shampoo that will last me a while! Any recommendations guys?

Hi Everyone. I need some help. Im new to this site and hope some one local to me can help. I have just bought a Nissan 300zx non turbo on a G reg and the radiator has just blown. I am trying to source a second hand one just to get me by for a few months as the new ones are quite expensive. I have had qoutes of around £200 pound. With Christmas coming up i cant quite afford that just yet. If any one has a second had one or if anyone knows of where i can get one can you let me know. Can't find the info through search... I'm fitting a second hand Auto gearbox to my Z as mine is dead. I am going to need some oil (obviously) and oilman has given me an idea of what i need. Was wondering what others have used ?? and recomendations? How much do i need as i have an oil cooler ? Do i need to get a new gasget for the sump and a new sieve (filter) when fitting??? Thanks, cant wait to get back on the road properly!!!! :nana2:

Some of you may know (and most of you are bored of hearing about) I am off to Australia in the new year :hyper: Now the thing is, I will be getting another Zed in Aus but it will be hard to find a LWB as most seem to be shorties. What I would like to know is what are the the diferences of the two cars? Before you lot start to take the piss I mean how they handle, Audrey was a 2+2 and I loved the way she went around bends and felt good to drive fast, but what will I find with the shorty, are they more twitchy do they feel alot lighter. I'm having fun and games with my beast at the mo - in addiiton to having the dreaded 34 knock sensor fault its running at high revs - at 2000rpm when cold then drops to 1500rpm when warm - this feels too high for me - any suggestions? The revs also increase when i dip the clutch - any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated!! :hyper:

Has anyone got an odd Nismo alloy lying around!?! I know this is most unlikely, but you never know! I have badly damaged my rear 17" Nismo wheel, I believe they are quite rare. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Cheers guys. :headvswal
