Firstly i wanna say Big thanks to Mujina to his Led dash/pod guide, was a pain in the a$$ as i'm really not so good with eletronics and soldering irons, But after going through his guide i have done 99% of the lights. You are the man!! :hyper: All i really need to do now is the "ring of fire" around the ignition barrel, My problem is that i have been out to the car tonight and have noticed that the plastic clip and ring (http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?p=447209#post447209 Pic 9 from the bottom, its a white clip that houses the bulb) is missing from my car. Now the question is either can i order the part and just replace it and continue with the …

I'm taking the Z to Zedworld in Tamworth to get the Hicas bushes redone as they have worn out. I'm thinking at the same time to get my ECU remapped. They say it costs £300 and gives about 70bhp more. Is this a good idea? Will this have any impact on the turbo's or coolng system or anything else? Would it be better to upgrade other elements of the car first. The car has blitz dump valves, sports air filter, and big bore exhaust. It may have other performance mods but I wouldn't recognise them if I was looking at them.

guys, one of the elements (if that is what you call it, basically one of the heated wires/lines that goes across the rear windscreen) doesnt and has never worked. Not a mega problem as it in not in a key area and any misting that is covered by that wire eventually gets cleared by the adjacent wires. Just wondering if there is an easy fix for this???

Hi guys, just putting things back together and am not happy with the state of my coolant pipes at the rear of the engine (near the EGR valve - or at least where it used to be ;-)). It's the two larger bore pipes that are worst affected but most are pretty poor. Any help with the following would be appreciated: 1. Quite corroded at the ends and very rough around the sealing area but weren't leaking, would you risk using these pipes? ;-) 2. Can anyone supply Nissan part numbers and rough costs please? (I am sitting down). 3. Does anyone have any reasonably good used items to sell? If mods think this post would be better in 'items wanted', please feel free to m…

This is not a for sale thread - I'll put that in the for sale section at a later stage. I've not driven my 300zx now for 3 years. I've only owned it for 5 years and in that time I've spent over £50k on it. I'm just so frustrated now as I've tried everything I can to get the car back from the mechanic but every deadline I have given has been missed. The ones that were quite important to me were: Summer 2006 - missed. Christmas 2006 - missed. My wedding Jul 2007 - missed. Birth of my little daughter Oct 2007 - missed. I was originally quoted 3 weeks, to have the engine reassembled and put back into the car. No fabrication or parts were required that I…

I dont want to seem like im spamming these threads but my 300zx needs alot of work to get it to how i want it My 300zx idles diferently whenever it feels like it, sometimes it idles high sometimes low, i think it might have somthing to do with the ambiant temp as when its very cold like this morning it was idling very high 1.2rpm and i know its not the choke because it was idling high the whole duration but not as high as when i first started the car... sometimes it idles very low .750 im confused. I also get a very strong smell of petrol in side the car and outside, even the police picked up the smell from outside the car when they pulled me over the…
